We're just two weeks away from the start of the Women's Champions League quarterfinals now, where two Frauen-Bundesliga clubs remain — Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg. Bayern returned to the top spot in its domestic league with seven matches remaining following a 6-0 pummeling of Köln on Sunday, although Wolfsburg remains only two points back and maintains a game in hand.
Twenty-four-year-old German international Lea Schüller was the star of the show for Bayern with a hat trick — moving her to second in the division overall with 12 goals — while Vivi Asseyi, Hanna Glas and Saki Kumagai all got on the scoresheet.
The best was Asseyi's goal in the 49th minute to make it 2-0. The 28-year-old French international met a Glas cross on her bicycle and drilled one into the top corner.

Bayern has a difficult schedule ahead with a trip to third-place Hoffenheim (March 12) followed by a home match against fourth-place Eintracht Frankfurt (March 18). Then it's time for PSG in the UWCL — the first leg on March 22 will be at the Allianz Arena, and the second leg is on March 30 at the Parc des Princes.
