Joya Vintage: Hace 17 Años, El Pony Ruiz Dio Una Asistencia Calcada A La De Luka Modrić

Un día después, el sublime pase de Luka Modrić que encarriló la clasificación del Real Madrid a las semifinales de la Champions League continúa dando vueltas en mi cabeza. Sinceramente, perdí la cuenta de las veces que lo vi y estoy seguro de que no soy el único dándole y dándole al play.

El toque a tres dedos y la precisión para encontrar a Rodrygo en el punto ciego de la defensa del Chelsea son desplante de una técnica fantástica y sobrenatural. 

Sin embargo, no es primera vez que vemos una asistencia de ese calado dentro de un campo de juego: hace 17 años, el legendario Rodrigo "Pony" Ruiz le hizo una igualita al Club América, defendiendo la camiseta del Santos Laguna, en el Estadio Azteca.

OK, no fue en una Champions League y la definición de cabeza de Matías Vuoso es mucho mejor que la de Rodrygo, pero ya ven el punto.

El ex seleccionao mexicano, Jared Borgetti tampocó dudó a la hora de recordar la joya vintage del mediocampista chileno y escribió en su cuenta de Instagram: "Excelente pase de Modric. Se nota qué vio los videos del mejor asistidor del fútbol mexicano, @pony_ruiz11 y el remate de @matiasv30 espectacular".

El Pony Ruiz jugó en seis equipos de la Liga MX, pero en Santos Laguna es precisamente donde más brilló. Ahí disputó 269 partidos, marcando 59 goles y registrando 78 asistencias.
