If one were asked to sum up Manchester United right now using just an emoji, it’s probably:
A lethargic performance and eventual 3-2 loss to a Brighton team with no business beating the Red Devils. Tension between the star player and the manager. Jose Mourinho being aggressively Jose Mourinho and lashing out at reporters. Things are just grimace-inducing.
Let’s just go right ahead and add this recent post from Alexis Sanchez to the things that are happening at Old Trafford that are making us all collectively say “yikes.”
Alexis Sanchez it seems did not get a memo that a selfie video of oneself breathing heavily in between awkward silences and extended eye contact while kind of saluting is not exactly the sort of vibe that gets the people going. Rather, it more gives off the feel of a relative who hasn’t quite figured out how to “work this thing” yet and posts confusing things to the internet.

Hopefully teammate and social media expert Paul Pogba can help him up his Insta game. We know Sanchez has the ability to post quality content. Where are the pics of studly golden retrievers Atom and Humber?! We need more.
In all seriousness, Manchester United fans will be happy to see the Chilean getting back to fitness. The forward played in United’s opening win at home against Leicester City but did not feature this weekend after it was determined it would be better he rest after feeling a tweak.
Jose Mourinho recently stated he believed the 29-year-old would be available again in two to three weeks. Alexis Sanchez is key for the Red Devils and they will want his flare and energy if they do not want small slip-ups to become a bigger slump. More importantly, they will need him and the other stars consistently fit if they hope to become a genuine title challenger this season.
