We’ve seen some cracking goals this weekend from the likes of Jean Seri, Kylian Mbappe and Fabian Johnson, but the best undoubtedly transpired in England’s Northern Premier League (the seventh tier of English football) match between Mickleover Sports and North Ferriby United on Friday.
The perfectly struck, 40-yard howitzer was scored by 34-year-old Englishman Pablo Mills, who’s previously played for Derby County, Rotherham United and Crawley Town. It’s been a while since he was representing England at the U-19 level, but this has to be the best goal he’s ever scored.
It’s wonderful to see a ball struck with such venom and then impossibly stay hit at that same velocity from leaving the boot to the back of the net. This shot only seems to gain menace as it travels nearly the entirety of 40 yards. Stunning.
