Amazing Goals

No penalty call, no review despite clear Barcelona foul in 1-0 win over Valencia

Despite playing down a man for over 30 minutes after Ronald Araújo's red card, Barcelona escaped with a 1-0 victory over Valencia at the Camp Nou on Sunday to keep second-place Real Madrid at a comfortable distance.

Valencia, mired in 19th and desperate for every point, were left fuming at referee Javier Alberola Rojas for his decision to look the other way when Franck Kessié clearly fouled Fran Pérez in the area in the 85th minute.

Bournemouth score second-fastest goal in EPL history but Arsenal get last laugh with 97th minute winner

Bournemouth stunned the fans inside Emirates Stadium on Saturday with a goal straight from kickoff to take a 1-0 lead. Philip Billing scored just nine seconds into the game for the second-fastest goal in league history.

Arsenal would rally from 2-0 down in the second half and grab all three points with a 97th minute Reiss Nelson goal to win 3-2. What a game.

First, let’s look at how the game started.

Ronaldinho scored his last goal for Barcelona 15 years ago and boy was it a beauty

Ronaldinho’s last Barcelona goal was scored against Atlético Madrid on March 1, 2008. At the time of writing, that moment took place 15 years ago. How time flies.

Ronaldinho’s final goal for la Blaugrana is the legacy of that game, however on the day it was a triumphant 4-2 victory for Atlético Madrid.

Ronnie scored the opening goal in the 29th minute with a spectacular bicycle kick. The assist from Xavi wasn’t too shabby either.

After viral indoor goal, Dutch phenom knocks Barça out of UEFA Youth League with another stunner

I've seen enough. I'm declaring 17-year-old AZ Alkmaar phenom Kees Smit the winner of the 2023 Golden Boy Award, and there's nothing some preciously talented La Masia graduate at Barcelona can do about it.

Over a month ago, the Netherlands youth international came to my attention with an incredibly inventive goal during an indoor match. It's as beautiful as a Rembrandt.

Cross or shot? Who cares! Jhilmar Lora scores mad, mad goal in Copa Libertadores

Sleepy? Drowsy? Low energy? Don't worry, Sporting Cristal right-back Jhilmar Lora brings you the caffeine you need today in the form of a phenomenal goal scored in the Copa Libertadores on Tuesday night.

I mean, an absolute scandalaous golazo.

Sporting Cristal needed to fight back a 2-0 deficit from the first-leg vs. Club Nacional from Paraguay in their quest for a slot in the group stage of the 2023 Copa Libertadores. And things were not easy. Nacional was being a stone in the shoe and heading to the 90th minute, the series was 3-3 on aggregate.

Messi and Mbappé combine for 3 outrageously good goals in PSG romp over Marseille

Like the rest of America, I've been selfishly hoping that Lionel Messi decides against renewing his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and instead opts for Inter Miami, giving me one glorious day out at Allianz Field of Wil Trapp man-marking the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner.

St. Louis City wins first MLS game after an absurd error from Austin FC

João Klauss found the net on a splendid, decisive goal in the 86th minute to lift expansion St. Louis City to a 3-2 in over Austin FC on Saturday night in Austin, Texas in the teams' season opener.

Expansion St. Louis City shocked the home side by winning its inaugural MLS game, with goals by Klauss and former Austin player Jared Stroud in a span of eight minutes late in the match to produce the come-from-behind upset.

5 things we learned from MLS opening day

The 2023 MLS season is finally underway and we've already learned a great deal from the league's opening fixtures. From the on-field play to the coverage and other adjacent news surrounding kick-off, MLS fans will certainly have lots to talk about before the match week has even finished.

Ángel Di María scores insane banana kick goal as his hat trick vs. Nantes sees Juventus advance

Ángel Di María scored all three of Juventus’ goals in the Italian side’s 3-0 victory vs. Nantes to advance to the Europa League Round of 16. The Argentine was unstoppable and set the tone five minutes in.

In the fifth minute an insane Di María goal put Juventus ahead 2-1 on aggregate. Look at the curve on this shot.

Alex Morgan's 121st goal for the USWNT was a statement before the World Cup

Time after time the USWNT proves it has the world's most decisive players in the final third, and the conversation hasn't changed ahead of the 2023 World Cup.

Sophia Smith was the toast of 2022, deservedly taking home the NWSL MVP and Championship Game MVP awards while finishing as the year's top scorer for the U.S. (11 from 17), and Mallory Swanson has dominated 2023 with seven goals from only five caps
