Amazing Goals

Falcao Just Proved Why He Is A Futsal Legend

Alessandro Rose Vieira, better known as Falcao, is Brazil’s futsal version of Pelé. For over 25 years, he’s been dazzling spectators with his improbable repertoire of tricks, skills and astounding goals. While the futsal legend may now be 38-years-old, age has done nothing to diminish the skills of Falcao. As evidenced by this saucy rainbow flick goal in a friendly charity match, the Brazilian has still got it.

Brazilian futsal legend Falcao's rainbow flick goal:

Rabona's Are Cool, Even If It's In Training

Is there a prettier goal than a rabona goal? The answer is no. The skillful move is one of beauty and nonchalantness. The pros make it look so easy but it isn't. Laurent Koscielny was just fooling around in Arsenal training at the Emirates and saw the camera was on him. What does a baller do when the lights are on him? He performs obviously. After a series of little tricks, Koscielny rips a rabona into the upper 90 from about 15-18 feet like it's nothing.

30 Yard Screamer From South African League

Khethokwakhe Masuku has 18 letters in his name. For this reason we are already fans of his. Another reason, is because he scores 30 yard screamers like it's nothing. The Orlando Pirates midfielder starts his run from the halfway line and bursts forward before cutting inside. The 29-year-old had a right winger streaking open which he easily could have played through, but Khethokwakhe Masuku doesn't pass up opportunities to score screamers. He selfishly holds on to the ball and rips off a cracking shot back to his left as he's running right.

Soccer Is A Game Of Glory, And This Player’s Free Kick Showed Just How Special That Is.

It takes a truly talented player to score a free kick at any point in a match, but to score one when the stakes are as high as a league title, well, that takes something legendary.

Back in 2007, Celtic were tied with Killmarnock 1-1 going into the closing stages of the game. Only a win would allow them to celebrate a championship, and arguably the game’s last real goal-scoring chance fell to Shunsuke Nakamura when Celtic won a free kick outside of Killmarnock’s box.

Walcott or Toure? Who's Goal Was Better?

There are three things that are certain in this world. Death, taxes and that Mesut Ozil will register an assist whenever he steps on the pitch. In Monday's 2-1 victory over Manchester City, Ozil chalked up assists on both Gunner goals bringing his total for the 2015 EPL campaign to 15! The next highest assist total in the league is 7, which is held by Everton's Gerard Deulofeu. Now that we gave props to Ozil's ridiculous assist numbers, we go onto the real discussion of this Amazing Goals post. Which goal was better between Theo Walcott's and Yaya Toure's?

At 17, This Defender’s Debut Was A Miracle. In 4 Minutes He Sparked A Title Run.

Ajax weren’t in crisis during Jairo Riedewald’s debut, just in danger of stumbling at a critical point. They had botched some critical games at the beginning of the season, but had turned things around with a 5-game winning streak that had seen them move from 6th to 2nd. Finally within striking distance of first place Vitesse – an Ajax win and Vitesse loss would see Ajax clear into first place, while a win and a tie would have Ajax in first place on goal differential – Ajax found itself down 1-0 to 14th place Roda JC. They were in danger of missing out on first place yet again.

This Guy Bet £5 At The Start Of The Season. He Could Win £5000 On Chistmas.

For all we know, Will Kirwaan was just another optimistic fan betting on his favorite team when he staked £5 on Leicester City. He didn’t see anything wrong with the 1000/1 odds on the Foxes being in 1st place come Christmas. And why not shoot for the moon? Isn’t that the point of all of this? Who cares if the Foxes needed a miracle run at the end of last season just to avoid finishing in the bottom three. Every team has a chance at winning the title at the beginning of the season, or at least that’s what I'm guessing Will thought that day.

Xabi Alonso With A Boomer

Xabi Alonso, you 34-year-old dog you.  So are you resorting to only scoring goals as far out as your age? Because this 30+ yard cracking volley is pure greatness. That touch to kill the clearance, and then the approach on the bouncing ball that resulted in the back of the net. Your greatness will never be forgotten and we at The18 thank you for giving us this gem of a goal. Keep being you Xabi.

Mahrez and Vardy Owning Chelsea

What would you say the odds were that Leicester City was going to be atop the table 16 games into the BPL campaign? Or the odds that Jamie Vardy would have as many league goals as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi combined? Well, Leicester was about a 2500-1 favorite to win the title back in August, and Jamie Vardy having as manys goals as CR7 and La Pulga combined, we'll go ahead and set the odds at 1,000,000-1.

Remember Ronaldinho's Crossbar Challenge? An Australian Just Pulled It Off In A Game.

What Ronaldinho can accomplish in a commercial, James Jeggo is capable of conjuring in the middle of a professional match. Channeling the great Dinho, Jeggo performed his own personal crossbar challenge while an Australian A-League game took place around him.

With the score level at 0-0 in the 61st minute, Jeggo smashed an unstoppable drive against the crossbar before receiving the ball again, this time making no mistake as he unleashed a venomous rip which found the back of the net. Spectacularly, all of this took place in the space of less than five seconds.
