Fancy cleats and new Premier League jerseys just aren't sensible when half the time you come home stained in blood and/or mud. No, Goalkeepers need more functional gifts that will help get them through the season.

Joe Biden will be the next president of the United States. The Associated Press announced Biden’s victory at 11:28 a.m. ET on Saturday (minutes after the major networks but 12 minutes before Fox News). The soccer world immediately began reacting to the news across social media.

Here is a small sampling of how the soccer world was reacting to president-elect Joe Biden and vice president-elect Kamala Harris, who became the first woman and first person of color to become vice president. 

Conceding immediately after kickoff is a FIFA video game tradition unlike any other. For some unholy reason, opponents will slice through your team like a hot knife through butter after a kickoff. Every so often this event of a fast kickoff goal takes place in the real world.
