Meaningless 5-1 Thrashing Of PSG Aside, Arsenal Actually Seems To Be Having Fun

Arsenal beat Paris Saint-Germain 5-1. That was the least interesting thing about the Arsenal vs PSG match.

The Gunners are in the midst of their first preseason without Arsene Wenger since before the 1996 season. With Unai Emery coaching the club now, it’s anyone’s guess as to how Arsenal fares in the upcoming Premier League season. Do they plummet precipitously as Manchester United did when David Moyes took over for Alex Ferguson? Do they stay in place as the sixth-best team in England? Do they return to the top like Chelsea whenever Roman Abramovich hires a new manager?

Jose Mourinho Blasts Jurgen Klopp; Liverpool Boss Claps Back

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho took a jab at Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp’s summer transfer window spending. Mourinho joked Klopp would need to win the EPL now given all the money spent on Fabinho, Naby Keita and the record deal with Alisson.

Klopp has yet to win any silverware with Liverpool despite taking the Reds to a Champions League final against Real Madrid. The 51-year-old German did shoot back at Mourinho though.

Neil Patrick Harris Dons Man City Gear, Cheers On Man United

America’s relationship with soccer has more steps backwards and forwards than a salsa dance. Christian Pulisic bursts on to the scene in 2016. Yay! The U.S. fails to qualify for the World Cup. Yikes. The collective knowledge of the sport increases with star-studded preseason tours and the MLS’s continued growth. Woo! Famous American actor commits one of the most cringe-worthy soccer crimes possible and films it. Oh no…

Will Manchester United Turn Slab Head Into The Most Expensive English Player Of All Time?

England’s World Cup star defender Harry Maguire is rumored to be lining up a transfer to Manchester United from Leicester City. The summer transfer window closes on Aug. 9 and the transfer deadlock between the two English clubs isn’t helping either. Still, the possibility remains.

New Tottenham Stadium Gets A Name, Appears Intent On Copying Jerry World

The new Tottenham stadium name was officially revealed on Thursday. Apparently the North London club wants to emulate Jerry World in Texas.

After spending a year at Wembley Stadium, the Spurs are eager to break in their new grounds for the upcoming campaign. They hope to have the venue ready for the curtain raiser against Liverpool on Sept. 15 after a couple test events.

On Thursday, the club announced the new Tottenham stadium name, and it’s not exactly original: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Does The World Cup Really Have A Major Effect On Next Season’s Club Football?

If you want to watch something truly pathetic today, here’s Jose Mourinho, the manager of 20-time English champion Manchester United (squad value of just over $1 billion), acting scared shitless at the prospect of playing Brighton & Hove Albion (squad value of $183 million) in the second week of Premier League action because of the World Cup impact on club season preparations.

Mo Salah Proves He’s Mortal With Awful Basketball Display

At this point, it’s hard to imagine Mo Salah being picked last for anything. He’s already a Liverpool hero having scored 43 goals in all competitions in his first season at Anfield. And, well, Egypt is so obsessed with him after he led the Pharoahs to their first World Cup in 28 years that schools have been renamed after him. If you want to win, if you need a clutch performance, Salah is probably your first choice.
