Rickie Lambert Scored For West Brom Just Hours After Signing

Former Liverpool and Southampton striker Rickie Lambert is off to an auspicious start with new club West Bromwich Albion.

Lambert, a lifelong Liverpool fan who spent just one year with the club, was signed away by West Brom after a disappointing 2014-2015 season.

A few hours later, Lambert bagged a brace against Bristol Rovers (another former Lambert team) in 56 minutes of work with his new club, which led to great jokes on Twitter.

Harry Kane's Long Walk

Harry begins signing autographs at the south end of Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. He does what looks like a TV interview first, then starts at the beginning of the throng of people lined up to take a picture of him or have him sign something. The crowd stretches from the southwest end of the stadium, where Harry is, to the middle of the north end, where Harry will be. Eventually.

Adidas Teases New Manchester United Kit On Vine

Last year, Manchester United and Adidas made waves when they announced a world-record kit deal, valued at a reported $1.3 billion over 10 years – $128 million per year to be precise. This came after a 13-year stretch with Nike as Manchester United's kit sponsor. That deal was worth an estimated $40 million per year, pittance compared to the new 10-year contract with Adidas.

So, what does $128 million per year buy Adidas in terms of brand visibility?

Colorado's Altitude Giving Players Pause Before MLS All-Star Game

Denver, Colorado is 5,280 feet above sea level, and Tottenham Hotspur, along with most of the MLS All-Stars, won't be used to playing in those conditions.

"It's going to be a tough training session for us this afternoon and a tough game for us on Wednesday at this altitude, on top of the hotness" said Spurs midfielder Nabil Bentaleb.

"We had a gym session earlier, and it was quite tough," said forward Harry Kane. "We train this afternoon so we'll probably get a bit more used to it, being outside."

Cryptic Instagram Post Shows How Silly The Transfer Window Can Be

The temptation to believe that Karim Benzema will leave Real Madrid is at an all time high. As the team continues its preseason exhibition tour in China, the French international has posted a photo to Instagram of himself in a plane separate from the rest of the team, with the caption “let’s leave the past in the past.”

This Raheem Sterling Goal Shows He Doesn’t Care What Anybody Thinks

Guys, Raheem Sterling might be a stone cold gangster.

We always say that soccer can bring the truth out of people. If someone feels bad, or guilty, or if a crowd is really getting to them, then they tend to play bad too. It’s not exactly scientific. It can be quietly frankly wrong, but it just makes a certain kind of sense. If a player screws over a fan base and then proceeds to play poorly, or get injured, we tend to say to ourselves, “Good.” It’s as if some kind of universal balance is being maintained.

Zlatan Forearm-Shivers John Terry In The Face

In a move we have dubbed "the flying Zlatan," Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave John Terry a forearm-shiver Saturday when PSG met up with Chelsea in the International Champions Cup.

There were claims that this was an elbow from Zlatan, but he clearly uses his forearm and not his elbow.

What could John Terry have done to provoke the wrath of Zlatan?

Transfer News: Angel di Maria On Brink Of Manchester United Exit

While he’s yet to dot his two I’s, it’s as certain as low wages at Walmart that Angel di Maria will sign a contract with Paris St Germain in the coming days. Less than 12 months after shelling out a British record £59.7 million for the Argentine Champions League winner, Manchester United are expected to agree to a fee of around £45 million that will see the former Real Madrid midfielder cross the English Channel.

The Most Fearless Man In Soccer Is Facing The Biggest Decision Of His Career

Zlatan Ibrahimovic says what he feels all of the time, and a lot of the time that involves letting someone know that he is better than them.

When asked who he thought was the best looking woman in the world, he responded, “I don’t know, but when I find her I will date her.”

He’s arrogant, there is no getting around that, but hearing his ignorance it is hard to not think of a famous Muhammad Ali quote: it’s not bragging if you can back it up.
