With most domestic leagues moving towards the use of video evidence to retroactively ban players for simulation and feigning injury, and with the gradual implementation of Video Assistant Referees to stamp out the behavior altogether, football's greatest evil is heading out the door.

However, it’s literally leaving kicking and screaming like a petulant two-year-old that’s been denied viewing one more train on YouTube. The latest, and perhaps greatest, has come from 34-year-old former Serbian international Danko Lazovic in the Hungarian league.

Wenger in! 

Following his meeting with Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke, it has been widely reported that Arsene Wenger has agreed to a two-year extension to his stay at the Emirates. And on the same day Thomas Tuchel leaves Borussia Dortmund! No club knows how to Arsenal quite like Arsenal.

Riyad Mahrez has handed in a transfer request. The Algerian winger intends to leave Leicester City, the club where he won the Premier League and the PFA Player of the Year award in 2015-16, for larger and greener pastures.

Mahrez released a statement Tuesday announcing his intention to depart:

“Out of the huge admiration and respect I hold for Leicester City Football Club, I wanted to be totally honest and transparent with them and have therefore informed the club that I feel now is the time for me to move on.

Thomas Tuchel is out as Borussia Dortmund manager, the club announced Tuesday.

Tuchel was rumored to have been feuding with Dortmund's front office near the end of his second season in charge.

Wolfsburg have had a rather embarrassing season, but on the last day it proved not to be disastrous. Wolfsburg will be in the first division next season after winning their promotion/relegation playoff against Eintracht Brauschweig 2-0 on aggregate.

We love David Wagner. David Wagner is insane and fun and now he's in the Premier League. The German-American manager, whose best friend is Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, has led Huddersfield Town to the Premier League after winning a penalty shootout in the promotion playoff final against Reading.

Despite a negative goal differential in the regular season, Huddersfield Town wormed their way into the promotion playoff, then won shootouts against Sheffield Wednesday and Reading. 

Former Valencia and Athletic Bilbao manager Ernesto Valverde has officially been named manager of Barcelona, replacing Luis Enrique.

Well, that’s that then. Football made a good run at it, but it's over now. Francesco Totti has played in his final professional match, and while it went exactly as Roma had hoped sporting-wise (they achieved direct qualification to next season’s Champions League), it was easily the worst day in the club’s history.

Lionel Messi turned in a Midas-like performance in Saturday’s Copa del Rey final — everything he touched turned into gold. He opened the scoring for Barca in the 30th minute with an unstoppable effort from 18 yards out, he was heavily involved with a “hockey assist” in Neymar’s goal and then he settled the match before halftime with a sublime feed for Paco Alcacer and Barcelona’s third.  

Outside of these pivotal moments, Messi was unplayable. He registered 101 touches in the game, including four key passes, four shots and a staggering nine successful dribbles. 

Juventus and Bologna wrapped up their Serie A campaigns with a meaningless match featuring the champions-elect and the side in 15th. For a match with absolutely nothing riding on it, this game still had its moments.

The first was provided by Bologna midfielder Saphir Taider. The Algerian international opened the scoring in the 52nd minute with this sensational effort from distance.
