Kadeisha Buchanan won her fourth consecutive UEFA Women’s Champions League title — Lyon’s seventh overall — after Lyon defeated Wolfsburg 3-1 in the European final on Sunday. 

Buchanan is from Toronto, Ontario and is a defender for the Canada women’s national team. She’s made 101 appearances for Canada, tallying 96 starts, four goals and three assists.

With Lyon, she appeared in all seven Champions League matches this season, including five starts, and scored her first-ever UWCL goal against Fortuna Hjørring.

Aron Jóhannsson kept up his good form in the Allsvenskan with a brace in Hammarby's 3-3 draw against Kalmar on Sunday.

After a long run of injuries stretching back several seasons, the USMNT forward has gotten consistent playing time in Sweden over the last couple of months and has reaped the benefits. Since the beginning of the 2014-15 season, Jóhannsson has missed over 100 games due to injury. Since late July, though, he has featured in every game for seventh-place Hammarby and scored four goals in the club's last six games. 

On Friday night, the world was stunned and saddened to learn of the death of Chadwick Boseman, the beloved actor who played everyone from Jackie Robinson to James Brown to Thurgood Marshall. Boseman was perhaps most cherished for his role as T’Challa, otherwise known as the superhero Black Panther. 

Boseman died at 43 following a four-year battle with colon cancer on Friday, shocking a public that had no idea he had been diagnosed with stage three cancer in 2016.

The current state of the world and limitations on socialization, especially for the elderly community, has left many people lonely and just wanting someone to talk to. One resident, Mr. Bill from the Phoenix Assisted Care in Cary, North Carolina, had a special request for a pen pal. An image of him asking for a pen pal that loves soccer and is a fan of the beautiful game surfaced the web and caught the attention of USWNT and NC Courage forward Jessica McDonald.
