Manchester City reopened its three-point lead over Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table Wednesday with a 5-1 away win over Wolves courtesy of Kevin De Bruyne's hat trick inside 24 minutes before the Belgian added a fourth on the hour mark. Raheem Sterling completed the scoring for City in the 84th.    

In terms of minutes on the clock, De Bruyne's hat trick was the third earliest in PL history.

MANCHESTER — Cristiano Ronaldo's 50th club career hat-trick and second Premier League treble of the season earned below-par Manchester United a 3-2 victory over Norwich City on Saturday.

With Tottenham Hotspur losing 1-0 at home to Brighton & Hove Albion earlier on Saturday, the door was open for United to close in on the Champions League qualification places with victory over bottom side Norwich and they just about took advantage.

BIRMINGHAM — Son Heung-min struck a superbly taken hat-trick as Tottenham Hotspur took a grip on fourth place, romping to a 4-0 win at Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.

With Arsenal losing earlier on Saturday, Spurs have a three point lead over their North London rivals with 57 points from 31 games - the Gunners have played one game less.

South Korean Son fired Spurs ahead in the third minute when a blocked shot from Harry Kane fell to him on the edge of the box and his first time, left-foot, shot flew in off the inside of the post.

The USMNT effectively qualified for the 2022 World Cup on Sunday night in Orlando with an impressive 5-1 victory over Panama at Exploria Stadium. Christian Pulisic recorded his first U.S. hat-trick when his country needed him most, Paul Arriola connected on a rare header and Jesús Ferreira added one after Gregg Berhalter trusted him to lead the line.

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most enthralling players to ever grace the field.
