Less than a week after AC Milan were crowned Serie A winter champions, Stefano Pioli’s stuttering side are facing stern questions about their title-winning credentials.

Sevilla advanced to the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey on Wednesday after defeating Valencia 3-0 at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. Luuk de Jong opened the scoring in the 20th minute and then made it 2-0 in the 33rd after putting the finishing touch on a spectacular team goal.

The move involved 37 passes and 11 Sevilla players, making it this season’s golden standard in the land of tiki-taka.  

We’ve reached a new level in the relationship between Nike and the young phenoms churned out at Santos FC. It began with PSG’s Neymar, who signed with the multinational corporation at the age of 13. Champions Bayern Munich opened up a seven-point gap at the top of the Bundesliga after dishing out a 4-0 thrashing at bottom club Schalke 04 helped by a Thomas Müller double on Sunday.

Müller scored with two headers, starting the scoring after 33 minutes and netting again in the 88th after league top scorer Robert Lewandowski bagged his 23rd of the campaign in the 54th.

One week after Manchester United and Liverpool delivered a 0-0 Premier League stalemate that’s already been largely forgotten, the eternal rivals more than made up for that shit on a stick performance with a roaring FA Cup fourth round match that saw the Red Devils ultimately prevail 3-2 at Old Trafford on Sunday.  

Hellas Verona came from behind to stun Napoli with a 3-1 home win on Sunday despite Hirving Lozano having scored the visitors’ fastest-ever Serie A goal after nine seconds.

In between going the full 90 in Juventus’ Supercoppa victory over Napoli and scoring against Bologna in Serie A play on Sunday, Weston McKennie found time to visit Ollivanders wand shop in Diagon Alley.
