Paris police were attacked, shops in the French capital were vandalized and 158 people were arrested after Paris Saint-Germain's loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final, the interior minister and police said on Monday.

"The savagery of certain delinquents from last night: 16 members of the police forces injured, 12 shops attacked, around 15 cars vandalized," Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin wrote on Twitter.

The 2019-20 UEFA Women’s Champions League continued on Friday with the quarterfinals following a suspension of play that had put the competition on hold since Halloween. Like the men’s side, the tournament was changed to a single-leg format with all the matches being played behind closed doors in Bilbao and San Sebastián, Spain.

Kosovan soccer club FC Prishtina have taken the unprecedented step of signing players on loan from rival teams for one match in order to contest a Europa League qualifier, the club and the national federation have confirmed.

Manchester City midfielder David Silva is departing the club after a decade of service. On Monday, City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak revealed the plan for a David Silva statue, as well as the dedication of a training pitch with a mosaic to the Spaniard.
