Lionel Messi Moves On From Copa America Heartbreak By Returning To Barca Training

Lionel Messi has had enough of sitting on his yacht in Ibiza presumably replaying his Copa America penalty miss over and over. Messi wasn’t due to join his Barcelona teammates in preseason training until August 1st, but the former Argentine international has forgone his extended break in favor of returning to training.

Messi Is Blonde Now And It's Freaking Us Out

Soccer players have a long and proud history of looking like they should be in boy bands, and the current best player in the world is carrying on the tradition like a champ. Look at what this dude Lionel Messi did to his hair.

How Far Would You Go To Meet Messi?

How much do you love Lionel Messi? A little? A lot? Possibly too much? Not even a little bit? A decidedly unhealthy amount? You have a Messi shrine in your closet that features his picture in a heart-shaped frame, surrounded by candles?

Messi And Ronaldo Dock Their Yachts Next To Each Other In Ibiza

Someone call TMZ. It's too good to be true. Messi and Ronaldo have apparently docked their yachts just feet apart in Ibiza as they each holiday (separately, we think) with friends and family.

However, Neymar has revealed to TV Globo that his first days at the Camp Nou were riddled with fright and nerves.

#WeAreAllLeoMessi Was Dumb, But Barcelona's Explanation Was Even Dumber

I want to make one thing perfectly clear before we begin: this isn’t about the soccer. I love Messi when he plays soccer. Messi lights up the world and makes my day better when he has a ball at his feet. This isn't even really about Messi. It isn't his fault Barcelona initiated a tone-deaf social media campaign to support him after he got convicted of tax fraud. It's Barcelona's fault. And now they've gone and made it worse.

Barcelona Wanted Us To Rally Around A Convicted Tax Cheat But We Made Fun Of Them Instead

Lionel Messi was convicted of tax fraud earlier this week and sentenced to two years in jail. He will most likely not serve any of that, as he is a first-time offender. For whatever reason, the powers that be in Barcelona's marketing department decided that, despite being an uber-wealthy, tax-dodging international superstar, Messi needs some sympathy.
