5 Games That Were Played In Diabolical Weather Conditions

Every former footballer can think back to their playing days and remember those games when the elements went wild. Sometimes you were about to pass out due to heat exhaustion, freeze to death in tundra-like weather or drown from a downpour of rain.

The professionals have to deal with the elements as well, as seen in this list of the worst weather football games ever.

What The Hell Happened To Julian Green And Where Is He Now?

Remember back in 2014 when the USMNT was relevant and actually playing in a World Cup? Six years ago in Brazil, the U.S. escaped the group of death and had a valiant effort against Belgium, losing 2-1 in extra time. A teen phenom thought to be the future of the sport in this country scored the consolation goal against the Belgians. That teen has hardly been heard from since and the question is sometimes asked, where is Julian Green now?

U.S. Soccer Gets First Female President As Carlos Cordeiro Resigns In Disgrace

U.S. Soccer President Carlos Cordeiro resigned on Thursday after taking responsibility for language in a federation court filing that "caused great offense and pain" and prompted an on-field protest by the national women's team.

The women's team sued the national federation for gender discrimination just over a year ago in a lawsuit that included complaints about wages and working conditions.

A trial date has been set for May 5 after talks between the two parties broke down.

Relive The Most Exciting USMNT Opening World Cup Game Of All Time

The U.S. vs. Portugal at the 2002 World Cup was one of the best games in men's national team history. With all this talk about the coronavirus crippling the economy and, more importantly, my soccer TV viewing schedule, I figured we could all use a little pick-me-up to get us through the rest of the week.

This game has to be the second most exhilarating game in USMNT history, at least of recent (maybe not so recent) memory.

USSF Claimed MNT Requires More Skill, So USWNT Proved It Wrong With 2 Insane Goals

With the USWNT’s lawsuit against the U.S. Soccer Federation nearing its May court date, we’re learning more about how the Federation is planning to defend itself. Essentially, it appears the USSF will argue men are superior to women and the USMNT requires greater skill and responsibility than the USWNT.

The two-time defending world champions disagree.

USSF Is Trying To Claim Playing For USMNT Is Harder Than Playing For USWNT

The U.S. Soccer Federation, defending itself against a gender-discrimination case filed by members of the U.S. women's national team, argued that playing for the men's national team is tougher than playing for the USWNT, a continuation of a shocking theme of arguments from the Federation.

Tyler Adams Just Did Something Only 9 Americans Have Done Before

Tyler Adams hasn’t had the best of starts to the 2019-20 campaign in Germany. The American, who turned 21 last month, has been in and out (mostly out) of the RB Leipzig lineup all season with various injuries.

But on Tuesday, Adams did something just nine Americans have ever done before: He appeared in a Champions League knockout-round match.

Even better, he did so in a convincing victory, as his RB Leipzig dusted Tottenham 3-0 on Tuesday and 4-0 on aggregate. And because we’re biased Americans, we’re going to give Adams credit for an assist on Leipzig’s third goal.

Andrés Guardado Puts Real Madrid To The Sword To Hand LaLiga Control Back To Barcelona

Despite Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory over Barcelona in El Clásico last weekend, everyone knew there’d be more twists to come in LaLiga, but nobody expected Real to hand control back to Barça just days later.
