Fans Will Return To Stadiums Eventually, But Will We Ever See Them Again (On TV)?

Watching the USWNT play Colombia in a pair of friendlies last week, I was struck by two things. First: Catarina Macario is the real deal. Second: We may never see fans at sporting events again.

Atlanta United Signs Criminally Underrated Argentine Lisandro López

Atlanta United FC signed forward Lisandro López on a free transfer from Racing Club of the Argentine Primera División, the team said Monday.

He will be put on the roster once his international transfer certificate and P-1 visa are received.

Beckham Defends Hiring His Friend As Inter Miami Coach: ‘We’re Running A Serious Club Here’

Forced to operate from a distance last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, David Beckham promised on Friday to be the hands on owner he said he would be and defended hiring his friend Phil Neville as Inter Miami coach.

Despite qualifying for the Major League Soccer playoffs in their debut campaign in 2020, Beckham said he was not happy with the culture within the club he co-owns with Jorge Mas and started the new season by sacking manager Diego Alonso and bringing in former Manchester United teammate Neville.

Dwayne De Rosario Put Canadian Soccer On The Map, But His Journey Isn’t Complete

Back on Dec. 9, Major League Soccer unveiled its list of the 25 best players in the league’s 25-year history. One no-brainer was the inclusion of attacking midfielder Dwayne De Rosario, who spent 14 hugely decorated seasons in the league.

De Rosario was a four-time MLS Cup winner, six-time MLS Best XI selection and the 2011 MVP. His 104 career goals puts him ninth all time, and two of those strikes famously won MLS Goal of the Year Awards (2004 and 2005).

David Beckham Schools His Own Players In Training And Should Honestly Play Himself In 2021 Season

David Beckham decided that he needed to teach Inter Miami’s academy players a lesson when he joined in on their training session earlier in the week.

In a short clip that Beckham posted to his Instagram, Inter Miami’s owner showed the world that he’s still got it. The 45-year-old played the last game of his career in 2013 but can still provide a mean nutmeg.

Miami Fires Diego Alonso, Paving The Way For Beckham Buddy Phil Neville

England Women's team manager Phil Neville is in talks with Inter Miami, the Major League Soccer club owned by his former Manchester United teammate and friend David Beckham, who sacked manager Diego Alonso on Thursday.

Sue Campbell, the English FA's director of women's football, told the BBC Neville would lead the Team GB soccer side at this year's Tokyo Olympics unless he took the Miami job. Neville's England deal ends in July.

The Volatile And Complex History Of The ‘Don’t Tread On Me’ Flag

Flown by many protesters at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, the Gadsden flag has a design that is simple and graphic: a coiled rattlesnake on a yellow field with the text “Don’t Tread On Me.” But that simple design hides some important complexities, both historically and today, as it appears in rallies demanding President Donald Trump be allowed to remain in office.

Cyle Larin Scores 4 Of The Most Opportunistic Goals You’ll Ever See In 1 Match

Beşiktaş has reclaimed top spot in the Süper Lig after thrashing Rizespor 6-0 at Vodafone Arena on Wednesday. Canadian striker Cyle Larin had his greatest day in a Beşiktaş shirt, scoring four goals to give him 10 in 15 league appearances this season.

After a slow start to life in Europe, the 25-year-old has now scored five goals in his last three appearances to put the continent on notice. While we’re very pleased for Larin and Canada, three of his goals today were the result of a comedy of errors from Rizespor.

Kits Of Shame: We Examine The Worst Soccer Jerseys Of 2020

If this year's soccer kits seemed even worse than usual, it's because they were.

Every kit release is accompanied by internet outlash and general dissatisfaction. You can say that Twitter trolls are a factor, but the fact is that the quality of soccer kit designs is steadily declining.
