Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji said Marcus Rashford was clearly interfering with play in the lead-up to Manchester United's equalizer in their Premier League match on Saturday.

City defenders tracked Rashford's run from an offside position as he chased the ball for 30 yards before Bruno Fernandes stepped in at the last second to score.

The linesman raised his flag for offside but referee Stuart Attwell awarded the goal, allowing United to mount a comeback and win 2-1.

Could Manchester City's B-Team Win The Premier League?

Manchester City is coming off winning its fourth Premier League title under Pep Guardiola and with the latest signings, the club doesn't seem like it's slowing down. City has practically owned the Premier League in the last five years, winning four out of the last five league titles (finished 2nd in 2019-20 behind Liverpool’s 99-point season). This is no easy accomplishment, but with Guardiola in charge, winning simply becomes the norm.

Since taking his first managerial role with Barcelona in 2007, the Spanish coach has won 10 of 13 league titles.

MANCHESTER, England — Manchester City may appear to be a relentless winning-machine, but manager Pep Guardiola wants his side's legacy to be that their period of Premier League dominance was "fun" as the team close in on their sixth title.

City lead the standings on 89 points, three ahead of Liverpool with two games to play. Thanks to their superior goal difference, a win against West Ham United on Sunday would all but assure them of a second successive league triumph.
