UK-based journalist Rob Harris has tweeted that FIFA has confirmed that the Qatar World Cup will be played in the winter, from November 21st to December 28th. Lasting just 28 days, it will be three days shorter than a normal World Cup.

Manchester United's Luke Shaw has suffered a horrific leg break during Tuesday's Champions League match between Manchester United and PSV Eindhoven. PSV's Hector Moreno made the tackle.

I can’t imagine what kind of frustrations referees have on a weekly basis: players are always giving them grief, managers always disagree and literally entire crowds end up hating them on a routine basis.
