Fan Who Threw Object At Gio Reyna Faces Criminal Charges, Lifetime Ban

A fan who threw an object on to the field and injured United States men's soccer player Giovanni Reyna has been arrested and banned for life from Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, the scene of Sunday's CONCACAF Nations League final between the U.S. and Mexico.

Stadium Management Co., which operates the venue, made the announcement Monday night. The U.S. won Sunday's game 3-2 in extra time.

Confirmed: The Champions League Final Location Has Moved

ANKARA - UEFA has moved this month's Champions League final between Manchester City and Chelsea to Porto from Istanbul, two Turkish Football Federation sources said on Wednesday.

The sources said Turkey was expecting to host the 2023 Champions League final in Istanbul, as part of the agreement with European soccer's ruling body.

UEFA declined to comment.

This month's League Cup final between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur will be allowed to host 8,000 spectators as part of pilot events to pave the way for the return of large crowds to stadiums, the British government said on Sunday.

The final will be held at London's Wembley Stadium on April 25. It was due to be played on Feb. 28 but was pushed back in the hope that a later date would allow fans to attend.

Montreal To Play 2021 MLS “Home” Games In Florida For The Time Being

With just over a month remaining before the start of the 2021 MLS season, CF Montreal announced Monday it will open its schedule by playing home games at Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The move was made because of travel restrictions between the United States and Canada that started at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic last year. Toronto FC already has announced they will open their season with home games at both Orlando and Tampa. The Vancouver Whitecaps are expected to make Sandy, Utah, their temporary home next month.
