Landon Donovan’s Latest Comeback Is His Craziest Venture Yet

He’s one of the most iconic players in the history of the USMNT. And he just can’t quit soccer.

Landon Donovan, having come out of retirement twice before, once again has failed to stay retired. According to Sports Illustrated, Donovan will return to the pitch to play with the San Diego Sockers of the Major Arena Soccer League.

Club León this is not.

In the history of U.S. Soccer, no one has scored more goals and tallied more assists for the USMNT and MLS than Landon Donovan. He’s kind of a big deal.

So Just Who Is Frenkie De Jong, Barcelona’s New $85.5 Million Signing?

Christian Pulisic has been usurped. But just who is Frenkie de Jong anyway?

Prior to Wednesday, Pulisic was the most expensive signing of the January transfer window, Chelsea paying $73 million for the services of the Borussia Dortmund 20-year-old.

Now Pulisic must sit in the back seat for Barcelona’s new 21-year-old midfielder, Frenkie de Jong.

If Your Child Wants To Be Like Messi, Tell Them Kevin-Prince Boateng Works Too

Every child dreams of becoming the next Lionel Messi, and I don’t think that should be discouraged. However, it might not be a bad bit of parenting to tell your children that it’s OK to aim for the next Maxwell, Alexander Hleb, Aleix Vidal, Thomas Vermaelen, Paulinho or Kevin-Prince Boateng as well — that’s probably the surest way of representing the Blaugrana as a professional.

These are the somewhat old, somewhat weird transfer dealings of the five-time European champions, and in a strange way, they make perfect sense.

Cardiff City’s Emiliano Sala On Board Plane That Went Missing Monday Night

On Saturday, 28-year-old Argentine forward Emiliano Sala confirmed his $20 million transfer from Ligue 1 side Nantes to Premier League strugglers Cardiff City. The transfer made Sala the Welsh club’s record signing.

“It gives me great pleasure and I can’t wait to start training, meet my new teammates and get down to work,” said Sala when announcing his move.

Mario Balotelli Is Nearing A Transfer, But Damn, It’s Not To MLS

According to the latest reports, Mario Balotelli is on the verge of joining Marseille from Nice in Ligue 1. Despite the timing being pretty perfect to join Major League Soccer, it’s not happening. We’re just as disappointed as you are.

With Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Balotelli all in MLS, we could’ve replayed our own version of Euro 2012.

Chelsea’s Upcoming Facelift This Summer Could Showcase Brand New Offense

With all the talks and rumors floating around Chelsea transfers 2019, it has become apparent that the team may look completely different come the 2019-20 season opener.

To start off with the latest, the club has officially opened the door by announced the starting bidding price for the club’s top talent, winger Eden Hazard.

Chelsea will request $127 million for the Belgian star, who is rumored to be heading to Real Madrid.

Rebuilding The Arsenal — Part 3

If you missed the first two parts of this piece on rebuilding Arsenal, you can find them here — Part 1 & Part 2.

Arsenal Transfers Out

Over the next two summers, Arsenal needs to massively overhaul its roster. Here are my proposed exits by year.

Zlatan Dismisses Ronaldo’s Juventus Move As Elementary ‘Bullshit’

You know the case isn’t closed until Zlatan Ibrahimovic has had his say, and that’s exactly what’s happened in the war of words between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi regarding the “challenge” that the Portuguese issued to the Argentine to join him in Italian football.

Rebuilding The Arsenal - Part 1

The honeymoon period is over. Welcome to Arsenal, Unai Emery.

The weight of Arsene Wenger's tenure as manager of Arsenal was finally being lifted, and a new era was set to begin for the Gunners and their fans after a summer World Cup to distract from the transition. Emery entered the 2018-19 season with modest signings, mostly senior players, but an expected gem in Lucas Torreira.

After the Premier League schedule makers did the club no favors, everyone expected the campaign to start off with two losses against Manchester City and Chelsea.
