The National Women’s Soccer league isn’t done with the 2020 season just yet. Even after declaring a champion at the NWSL Challenge Cup in July, the league announced on Tuesday it would continue playing matches this season. Maybe having a team that had never made the playoffs declared champion didn’t sit well with the league.

LA Galaxy Claim First Win Of 2020 By Blanking Rival LAFC

Ethan Zubak and Sebastian Lletget each scored a goal as the Los Angeles Galaxy earned their first victory of season with a 2-0 decision at Los Angeles FC on Saturday, while adding another intriguing chapter to the "El Trafico" rivalry.

Despite LAFC emerging as one of the best teams in MLS over the last three seasons, the Galaxy (1-3-2, five points) have defeated their cross-town rival three times. LAFC has one regular-season victory in the matchup, a 6-2 thrashing in group play of this year's MLS is Back Tournament.

MLS and the NBA have used live video feeds of fans displayed in the background of the action. Many MLB teams have created cardboard cutouts of fans behind home plate. Some broadcasters have used computer-animated fans to fill the stadiums.
