Julian Green Scores Again For Greuther Fürth

USMNT midfielder Julian Green kept up his red-hot form in the 2.Bundesliga on Friday with a goal in his third consecutive game.

Green and Bavarian side Greuther Fürth find themselves in a strong position to make a push for promotion to the Bundesliga halfway through the season, just one point off the third-place spot that would secure a playoff against the side that finishes 16th in the top flight. Green is now the joint-top scorer for Fürth alongside Branimir Hrgota, with seven goals apiece.

Liverpool, In Dire Need Of Defenders, Looking At New York Red Bulls' Aaron Long

Liverpool supporters would have found themselves sighing in exasperation when Joel Matip came off injured at halftime against Tottenham on Thursday.

There is a genuine argument to be made that, when fit, Matip is a top-five center back in the league. Much to the chagrin of Reds everywhere, the Cameroonian international is seldom fit for more than a few games at a time. He was substituted at halftime against Fulham due to injury, subsequently missing out against last month's game against Spurs, before returning against Crystal Palace.

Pulisic’s GQ Shoot Was Steamy, But Lampard’s Hot Seat Is Now En Fuego

If you believe The Athletic — and not just their 15,000-word oral histories about that time when something slightly, comparatively odd happened — then Frank Lampard is finished as manager of Chelsea following Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat to Leicester City.

American Teen Yunus Musah Turns Into Gareth Bale Only For Teammate To Turn Into Timo Werner

Want to feel old? Gareth Bale’s iconic sprint vs. Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final was seven years ago. An incredible Yunus Musah sprint against Real Valladolid on Sunday brought a wave of nostalgia of Bale's brilliance and showcased the young American’s incredible speed.

In case a refresher is needed of Bale torching Marc Bartra, here is the moment the Welsh man immortalized himself in YouTube “Best Last-Minute Goals Compilations”.

The Volatile And Complex History Of The ‘Don’t Tread On Me’ Flag

Flown by many protesters at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, the Gadsden flag has a design that is simple and graphic: a coiled rattlesnake on a yellow field with the text “Don’t Tread On Me.” But that simple design hides some important complexities, both historically and today, as it appears in rallies demanding President Donald Trump be allowed to remain in office.
