When Christine Sinclair And Megan Rapinoe Ruled The College Soccer World

The NCAA women’s soccer tournament kicks off on Tuesday in North Carolina. Personally, every time the College Cup rolls around, I think about one of my biggest regrets from my college days: deciding it was too expensive to buy a ticket to attend the 2005 College Cup, which was walking distance from my dorm room at Texas A&M.

Mexico’s Charlyn Corral Stars Alongside Salah, Pogba, Beyoncé In New ‘Impossible Is Nothing’ Campaign

Back in 1974, adidas began associating itself with the “Impossible is Nothing” slogan, which was an extract from a Muhammad Ali quote.

“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

Chelsea Overcomes Defensive Blunders Against Man City To All But Clinch WSL Title

Chelsea all but clinched the FA Women’s Super League crown by holding off Manchester City for a 2-2 draw on Wednesday. Sam Kerr scored and drew a penalty converted by Pernille Harder as the Blues maintained their two-point margin atop the league with two games to play — despite two costly mistakes at the back.

Tobin Heath Injury Latest: USWNT Forward Ruled Out For Rest Of Season

Tobin Heath’s season at Manchester United is over, manager Casey Stoney confirmed on Friday, a disappointing end after a second Tobin Heath injury for the USWNT winger.

Heath had four goals and two assists in eight matches with United since joining (along with Christen Press) in September. She hasn’t played since Dec. 20, a two-goal performance against Bristol City.

USWNT Looked Good Beating France, But That Audio Delay On ESPN Was Awful

ESPN announcers Julie Foudy and Sebastian Salazar talked a lot about the fact the pitch-side mics were clearly picking up everything USWNT coach Vlatko Andonovski was saying during his team’s friendly against France on Tuesday. The audio was certainly interesting, but more so because of a faulty output from ESPN than any tidbits gleaned from a coach yelling at his players.

Melbourne Victory Claims W-League Title With 120th-Minute Olimpico

Melbourne Victory forward Kyra Cooney-Cross scored directly from a corner in the final minute of extra time to help her team beat Sydney FC in the W-League Grand Final on Sunday and be crowned champions of Australia for the second time.

Melbourne created the majority of the chances at Sydney's Kogarah Oval in the latest edition of the "Big Blue" rivalry but needed a last-gasp effort to triumph thanks largely to the heroics of Sydney goalkeeper Jada Whyman.

Trinity Rodman Just Became The Youngest Goal Scorer In NWSL History 5 Minutes Into Her Debut

Trinity Rodman scored her first career NWSL goal in record-breaking fashion, but it wasn’t enough to keep the N.C. Courage from claiming a 3-2 victory over the Washington Spirit on Saturday in the Challenge Cup.

Late Rapinoe Equalizer Saves USWNT From First Defeat In More Than 2 Years

The USWNT is so dominant in world soccer, some games feel like they’re over before they begin. But that’s never the case when Sweden lines up against the U.S., and we saw Saturday as the USWNT narrowly escaped defeat, salvaging a 1-1 draw with a late Megan Rapinoe penalty in a friendly in Stockholm.
