Paris Police Attacked, 158 Arrested After PSG Champions League Final Defeat

Paris police were attacked, shops in the French capital were vandalized and 158 people were arrested after Paris Saint-Germain's loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final, the interior minister and police said on Monday.

"The savagery of certain delinquents from last night: 16 members of the police forces injured, 12 shops attacked, around 15 cars vandalized," Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin wrote on Twitter.

Europa League Qualifier Called Off After Bizarre No-Show

A Europa League qualifier between FC Prishtina and Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar, postponed once after eight Prishtina players tested positive for the novel coronavirus, was called off again on Saturday when the Kosovan side failed to take to the pitch.

Lincoln tweeted a picture of their players and match officials waiting on the pitch in Gibraltar before issuing a statement saying the preliminary-round qualifier had been cancelled.

Man Utd Captain Detained For Allegedly Assaulting Police Officer In Greece

ATHENS — Manchester United captain Harry Maguire was detained for questioning on the Greek island of Mykonos after allegedly being involved in an incident in which police officers were assaulted after a brawl, Greek state TV ERT said on Friday.

Officers were called in to break up a brawl between two groups of tourists. Two other Britons were also detained.

"The soccer player was verbally abusive to an officer and then hit him," a police official said. "The three were resisting when brought to the Mykonos police station."
