The Bolivian Football Federation (FBF) suffered the loss of its president on Sunday due to complications from COVID-19. Cesar Salinas was 58 years old and had served as president since 2018. He had been hospitalized with the novel coronavirus earlier in July.

African League Won’t Resume After Leaders Announce 28 Players, Staff Have Covid-19

The return of the Zambian Super League on Saturday has been put on hold after leaders Forest Rangers revealed that 28 players and staff had tested positive for COVID-19.

Rangers said on Saturday morning, hours before the scheduled re-start of the 2019-20 campaign, that they had 28 positive tests out of 58 conducted at the club ahead of their clash with Zanaco in Ndola.

Seventeen of the positive cases are players, this despite a club social media post on Tuesday, which has since been edited, that said all tests had come back negative.

To The Bone — A Scary Youth Soccer Story

I remember my first out-of-town soccer tournament like it was eight years ago … . I woke up at the butt-crack of dawn for my parents to drive me two hours to the wonderful desert wasteland of Pueblo, Colorado. I’m sorry if you live there, the green chile is great but that’s about it.

Hey Geoff Cameron, Please Stop Using Your Platform To Spread Harmful Misinformation

When it comes to his footballing abilities, Geoff Cameron is one of my favorite players of the last two decades. His versatility to play anywhere on the pitch for the Houston Dynamo from 2008-12 helped propel him onto the USMNT’s 2014 World Cup roster and a six-year stint with Stoke City in the Premier League.

Off the pitch, however, Cameron is now one of my least favorite players after spreading harmful misinformation on his Instagram account.

The Porta-Potty: A Youth Soccer Horror Story

One of the most difficult decisions to make the day of a youth soccer game is what to eat before game time. The late-afternoon games are the worst because enough day goes by that you either starve during the day or eat something and end up getting cramps during the game. I was faced with this brutal conundrum once and it still haunts me to this day.

Mourinho ($2 Billion Spent On 99 EPL Signings) Worried Man City Decision ‘Opens Circus Door’

In the wake of Manchester City overturning its two-year ban from European competition, the only take I really appreciated was this one. It’s sarcastic.

A-League Captain Would Rather Go Camping Than Play During COVID-19

MELBOURNE — Perth Glory captain and star midfielder Diego Castro has opted out of the remainder of the A-League season, citing an "unacceptable health risk" as Australia battles fresh outbreaks of COVID-19, and gone touring in a campervan with his family.

The 38-year-old Spaniard declined to join his team mates in a New South Wales hub ahead of Friday's restart of the A-League which was shut down in March, the Glory said on Tuesday.

Brother Of Tottenham's Serge Aurier Shot Dead In France

The brother of Tottenham Hotspur's Ivory Coast defender Serge Aurier has been shot dead in France, the Premier League club said on Monday.

The brother, Christopher Aurier, was shot at a nightclub in the early hours of Monday morning in the southern French city of Toulouse, according to La Depeche, a French media outlet.

The suspected gunman fled the scene and is being sought by police, according to a French police source.

Serge Aurier, who is 27, joined Spurs in 2017 from French club Paris St-Germain.

No One Understands The Current Handball Rule — At Least We Can Agree On That Much

Players and coaches around Europe are becoming increasingly perplexed by the current handball rule which one has said is best suited to foosball.

Forwards have seen goals chalked off for almost imperceptible handballs while defenders have conceded penalties for unintentional ones in innocuous situations because their arm was seen as making the body "unnaturally bigger."

Erling Haaland Is Not Good At Partying, So Dad Is Recalling Him To The Woods

Borussia Dortmund’s 2019/20 season is over. Erling Haaland, the 19-year-old phenom who scored 16 goals in his first 18 BVB appearances, is free to do whatever he damn well pleases as a teenager that makes around $170,000 per week. That’s my take as an old poor boy.

But his dad — as all dads are wont to do — sees it differently.
