West Brom's incredible renaissance under Spanish manager Carlos Corberán continued Monday with a 1-0 victory over Reading courtesy of Daryl Dike's goal in the 60th minute.
After missing a large portion of the start of the season with a thigh injury, the 22-year-old American striker enjoyed his longest outing of the Championship season (66 minutes) and scored his second goal in eight games.

Good performance for Daryl Dike today against Reading. Scored the breakthrough goal, won 5/6 duels, drew a match-high 3 fouls, and he had 8 shots in total. #USMNT pic.twitter.com/X94cgfwAoQ

For West Brom, that's now three consecutive victories and eight wins in nine games. The Baggies were in last place (24th) at Halloween but now they're up to eighth and just one point from the Championship playoff places.
Corberán is earning a lot of the praise for the success that's followed his appointment, but the 39-year-old coach is fortunate to have a fully fit Dike at his disposal after the $9.5 million signing went through a full year of injury hell.
