Ricardo Pepi responds to World Cup snub with another goal in the Eredivisie

A lot of people were left hurting by Ricardo Pepi's snub from the final 26-man USMNT World Cup roster.

The 19-year-old from El Paso, TX, is a hugely likable talent who came up clutch in qualifying with three goals, including the go-ahead strike on the road in Honduras and a brace against Jamaica. What worked against Pepi is that those three goals were all registered in back-to-back games over a year ago.

Josh Sargent enters World Cup in hot form after scoring on Zack Steffen in final club game before break

The United States men’s national team begins its World Cup campaign against Wales in just over a week and it’s still not clear who will start at the striker position. Josh Sargent helped his case for the starting role after scoring in Norwich City’s final game before the World Cup break on Saturday.

Norwich lost 2-1 to Middlesbrough on Saturday with the lone goal for the Canaries coming from Sargent. In the seventh minute he slotted in a shot past fellow American goalkeeper Zack Steffen to open the scoring.

Today we learned Tyler Adams marking Harry Kane on corner kicks is a HORRIBLE idea

Leeds United had a horrific collapse vs. Spurs on Saturday with a 4-3 loss at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after leading 3-2 as late as the 80th minute. For Tottenham’s first goal U.S. fans discovered what would happen if Tyler Adams marked Harry Kane during a corner kick.

With Leeds leading 1-0, Tottenham scored a controversial equalizer through Kane in the 25th minute. Clément Lenglet appeared to foul Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier when the cross was delivered.

American Mia Fishel goes for glory in Liga MX Femenil final

Tigres fans love American forward Mia Fishel. Or 'the Big Fish', as she is called. And the reason is pretty simple: she doesn't stop and won't stop scoring goals.

Fishel was recently crowned as Liga MX Femenil's top scorer during the Apertura 2022 regular season with 17 goals. And the feat is not minor because she became the first non-Mexican player to do it.

USMNT center back Chris Richards OUT for World Cup due to hamstring injury

USMNT and Crystal Palace center back Chris Richards posted to Instagram on Tuesday confirming American fans’ fears that he will miss the 2022 World Cup due to injury.

Who's on the plane to Qatar? Our final 26-man USMNT squad prediction

Monday, Nov. 7, marks exactly two weeks until the USMNT opens World Cup play against Wales at Al Rayyan Stadium. The event is almost upon us, and it all becomes very real Wednesday when manager Gregg Berhalter reveals his final 26-man roster at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and ESPN+.

There are still plenty of question marks to discuss in our final USA World Cup roster prediction. Berhalter just wrapped up a nine-man fitness camp for MLS-based players, and he'll spend the next 24 hours gathering all the latest intel on European-based guys who are suffering with lingering injuries.

Gio Reyna scores his eighth career Bundesliga goal with one of the iciest penalty kicks

Giovanni Reyna was given an early birthday present on Saturday when he was handed the ball to take a penalty for Borussia Dortmund during the team’s 3-0 victory vs. Bochum.

Reyna isn’t Dortmund’s usual penalty taker, but the American teenager — who turns 20 on Nov. 3 — confidently stepped up and scored from the spot in the 12th minute to give his side a 2-0 lead.

The goal was his eighth Bundesliga goal and his 12th in all competitions for Dortmund.

Prior to the penalty Donyell Malen was tackled in the box after a clever spin.

Crysensio Summerville's late winner gives Leeds 4-3 comeback win over Bournemouth

Saturday’s stunning early action between Leeds and Bournemouth at Elland Road saw the home crowd’s halftime boos turn to bliss in the second half as Jesse Marsch’s side snatched a 4-3 win from the jaws of defeat.

Philadelphia Union and USYNT midfielder Paxten Aaronson set to join Eintracht Frankfurt in Bundesliga

Philadelphia Union’s homegrown talent Paxten Aaronson will have one game left with the club, the MLS Cup Final, before he heads to Europe to join Eintracht Frankfurt in January.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder will join the Bundesliga club on a deal reportedly worth around $4 million. MLSSoccer.com’s Tom Bogert was the first to break the news.

USMNT goalkeeper power rankings: Steffen's mistakes continue to compound

In three weeks, the USMNT begins its World Cup campaign in Qatar. Much is still to be decided for the final roster — especially at the goalkeeper position.

During the September international break (with Zack Steffen omitted as a precautionary measure as he recovered from injury), Matt Turner started against Japan and Saudi Arabia. Turner had a strong showing against Japan, and was arguably the top American performer that day, before having little to do in a dull match versus the Saudis in Spain.
