American Players Abroad

Hey Geoff Cameron, Please Stop Using Your Platform To Spread Harmful Misinformation

When it comes to his footballing abilities, Geoff Cameron is one of my favorite players of the last two decades. His versatility to play anywhere on the pitch for the Houston Dynamo from 2008-12 helped propel him onto the USMNT’s 2014 World Cup roster and a six-year stint with Stoke City in the Premier League.

Off the pitch, however, Cameron is now one of my least favorite players after spreading harmful misinformation on his Instagram account.

Giroud Pushes Jorginho Away To Hug Pulisic For Perfect Assist

LONDON — An underwhelming Chelsea boosted their chances of a berth in next season’s Champions League, overcoming a slow start to beat relegated Norwich City 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

Olivier Giroud scored with virtually the last touch of the first half as Chelsea consolidated third place in the Premier League and moved four points above Leicester City and Manchester United in the battle for a top-four finish. After the goal, he shoved Jorginho to focus on hugging American winger Christian Pulisic, who set up the goal.

USMNT, Wigan Defender Robinson Forgets Which Football He's Playing, Absolutely Decks Barnsley Player

American players in England’s second-tier Championship have to be the most dangerous players out there. Two weeks after USMNT and Reading defender Matt Miazga was suspended for throwing punches, another American has committed a war crime on the field.

Tyler Adams Discusses Missing His Mom, Life As American Playing In Leipzig

Tyler Adams has come a long way since his awkward introduction to RB Leipzig at the start of 2019. The 21-year-old missed the first half of the 2019-20 season with a groin injury but had an exceptional second half and made his Champions League debut. RB Leipzig caught up with the American midfielder before he headed back to New York for the summer break.

Forget Hazard, Pulisic Is Looking Like Pelé With Fantastic Goal Vs. Crystal Palace

Christian Pulisic has proven once again that he can’t be contained and is one of the biggest threats in the Premier League since the return. After spending the past several games earning Willian penalty kicks, the American found the back of the net again vs. Crystal Palace.

Roll that beautiful footage.

Christian Pulisic Continues To Show Uncanny Knack For Drawing Penalties

LONDON — First-half goals from Olivier Giroud and Willian and a late strike from Ross Barkley earned Chelsea a 3-0 Premier League victory over struggling Watford on Saturday and a boost to their ambitions for Champions League football next season.

France striker Giroud hit the target in the 28th minute, after a brisk move between Barkley and Mason Mount, with a low left foot shot that bounced in off the post.

Pulisic's Efforts To Save Chelsea Squandered In West Ham Loss

Christian Pulisic and Chelsea had been dynamite since the restart of the Premier League — three straight wins with the American being the Blues’ best player by far. The dream return came to a screeching halt in London with 17th-place West Ham punishing dreadful defending in a 3-2 Chelsea defeat.

I’m not sure what looked worse to be honest, the Chelsea defense or the new uniforms.

Pulisic Questionable For Wednesday's Match With Calf Injury

Christian Pulisic’s recent form for Chelsea has made USMNT fans finally feel something for the first time since that October 2017 night in Trinidad. Chelsea has played and won three games since the return of football, with the Pennsylvania native earning all three “Man of the Match” awards.

American Defender Miazga Handed Three-Match Ban For Punching Player In The Face

USMNT defender Matt Miazga is unable to stray away from controversy. Notable Miazga moments include the American being fined for grabbing another player’s groin and the time he made fun of Diego Lainez’s height during a friendly. The latest Miazga incident is getting suspended for Reading’s next three matches after throwing punches against Derby County.

Chelsea Advances To FA Cup Semis With Christian Pulisic Leading The Charge

Chelsea advanced to the semifinals of the FA Cup with a 1-0 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday. The tightly contested match was settled by Ross Barkley’s finish in the 63rd minute off a delicious piece of service from Willian.

Leicester came roaring out the gates and overwhelmed Chelsea’s young midfield duo of Mason Mount and Billy Gilmour, forcing the 19-year-old Gilmour into mistake after mistake but failing to fashion anything to deeply trouble Willy Caballero.
