Dani Alves Makes São Paulo Debut, Scores Game-Winning Goal

Dani Alves made his debut for São Paulo FC, the club he’s supported his whole life, in Brazil’s Série A today, and it’ll come as a surprise to absolutely no one that he marked the occasion with a game-winning goal.

The 36-year-old has been synonymous with two things throughout his illustrious career: (1) his unmatched penchant for winning, including 40 trophies won, and (2) his ability — although he’s one of the best right backs of all time — to play anywhere on the pitch, including goalkeeper.

Watch: Awe-Inspiring Aduriz Goal Hands Barcelona Loss In LaLiga Opener

I could describe for you the 89th-minute Aritz Aduriz goal vs Barcelona, or I could let the stellar Ray Hudson’s words speak for themselves as he gushed over the “magisterial” strike.

“A goal that will give you physical arousal.”
“As cool as James Bond in a white tuxedo.”
“A goal that would make Ebenezer Scrooge smile.”
“Perfection from Aduriz.”

Coutinho’s Impending Move To Bayern Represents Calamitous Fall From Grace

In January of 2018, Philippe Coutinho became the second-richest transfer in soccer history when he moved from Liverpool to Barcelona. Reseñas De Rivales: Hicimos A Este Superfan Del Barcelona Realizar Una Reseña De Una Playera De Sergio Ramos

Even Rehabbing On Sand, Lionel Messi Is Magnificent To Watch

Lionel Messi has spent most of his preseason with Barcelona recovering from an injury suffered on his first day back in training. The Messi injury, a Grade 1 calf strain, could keep him out of the LaLiga opener on Friday against Athletic Bilbao.

But the Argentine is working hard to be fit for the match at the San Mamés.

Ronaldo Explains The Difference Between Him And Messi In A Very Ronaldo Way

What’s the difference between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi? It’s the time-honored question that’ll be debated long after both you and I are altered into cosmic dust, although I’ve personally maintained that the difference between the two is the empanadas they’d serve at a social gathering.

LaLiga Preview: Each Club As A Character From HBO's Euphoria

The new LaLiga season begins on Friday with defending champion Barcelona heading north to play Athletic Bilbao at the San Mamés. Last year, Barça cantered to the title by an 11-point margin over second-place Atlético while Real Madrid finished 19 points back. However, the La Liga preview 2019/20 sees the challengers refreshed and reloaded with the likes of Eden Hazard and João Félix ready to come at the king.
