The Champions League Final is almost here: a rematch of the 1998 Champions League Final played in Amsterdam, the champions of Spain versus the champions of Italy. Juventus hope to win their third Champions League title in club history while Real Madrid look to win their 12th and become the first team to win back to back Champions Leagues since the competition was rebranded in 1992. The question is: how do both teams match up?

When Real Madrid and Juventus square off on Saturday in the Champions League final, fans will watch two of the most successful clubs in European football history vie for yet another trophy.

Since crowning its first champion in 1956, the Champions League (known as the European Cup until 1992) winners circle has proved to be exclusive, with only 22 clubs claiming the 61 titles.

Ten teams have won once, so the remaining 51 are divided among 12 clubs.

It required extra time — and ultimately extra penalties – to break the stalemate between Lyon and PSG and determine the champion of women's soccer in Europe.

After two hours without a goal and a 6-6 deadlock in penalties, each keeper took her turn from the spot. PSG goalie Katarzyna Kiedrzynek pushed a shot wide left, opening the door for her counterpart to seal the victory. Lyon's Sarah Bouhaddi stepped up and drilled her penalty to give Lyon its fourth UCL title in the past seven seasons.
