West Ham have suspended director of player recruitment Tony Henry following allegations of racism.

Per the Daily Mail, Henry is reported to have told agents West Ham were not interested in signing any African players during the January transfer window. When pressed, Henry is alleged to have admitted wanting to limit the number of African players on the team because "they have a bad attitude" and "cause mayhem" when not in the side.

Wednesday’s highly anticipated encounter between Manchester United and Tottenham in the Premier League DID NOT disappointment in the opening 11 seconds. Second and fifth kicked off at Wembley and then there was a goal by Christian Eriksen. It happened just like that.

Tottenham’s $35 million signing of Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain is a fantastic piece of business for both the London club and fans of the Premier League on the whole. For Tottenham, the club has some brilliant forward-thinking fullbacks, but no true quality wingers like Lucas. 

Hell, the transfer reveal video was already a smashing success for Spurs.

Like a super blue blood moon eclipse, everything lined up just perfectly for Arsenal at the end of the transfer window on Wednesday. The club signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, one of the most fearsome strikers in the world, nailed down Mesut Ozil to a contract extension and shipped off the now-superfluous Olivier Giroud to ensure the former deal went down. The Arsenal Aubameyang deal came at just the right time for the struggling Gunners. Now if they could just beat Swansea.

Nathaniel Clyne has not been able to play for Liverpool this season because of a nagging back injury. He's expected back sometime in February, but until then Clyne, instead of appearing on television as a right back, will have to make do with appearing on television as a celebrity. Clyne made a cameo on an episode of "Love & Hip-Hop: Miami" recently.

Clyne is an avowed hip-hop fan, so it shouldn't have been a surprise to see him make an appearance on one of these shows.

It, um, did not go well for Clyne.

Dismayed over Virgil van Dijk’s decision to join Liverpool, Manchester City have gone and broken their own club transfer record (the $77 million paid to Wolfsburg for Kevin De Bruyne in 2015) by signing La Liga’s most promising young defender, 23-year-old center back Aymeric Laporte, from Athletic Bilbao for $80 million.

In November of 2016, months after signing a one-year contract with Manchester United, Zlatan Ibrahimovic outlined his vision of one-upping Napoleon by accomplishing what the Emperor of the French could not: "I can see myself conquering the U.S. as I have with Europe. Lots of people stay in one place throughout their career, but I’ve travelled around like Napoleon, and conquered every new country where I’ve sat foot.

Arsenal didn’t play this weekend, which is probably a good thing for Gunners fans. The team was already knocked out of the FA Cup by Nottingham Forest in the third round, meaning Gooners can’t even take pleasure in Tottenham having to replay Newport County. But the curl on this Arsenal youth goal almost makes up for not having a match to watch this weekend.

Manchester City winger Leroy Sané is one of the most exciting young players in the world, with the pace, dribbling and finishing to terrify any defense. He could be a breakout star for Germany at the 2018 World Cup, assuming he doesn’t break his leg first. Joe Bennett’s Leroy Sané tackle looked like it might have caused serious damage to the German on Sunday and the German national team’s Twitter account stood up for its player.

As usual, every other Premier League club is playing for second in the transfer market, behind the big spenders at Manchester City. The Citizens made the signing of the January window Saturday when they picked up Mix Diskerud — a.k.a. Nordic Messi, a.k.a. Which One Is Mix Diskerud And Which One Is Brek Shea Again — from New York City FC.
