The UEFA Women’s Champions League quarterfinal second legs were held across Europe today, and the field has now been trimmed to four after some truly captivating matches between the continent’s biggest clubs.

After defeating Norwegian side LSK Kvinner 3-0 in the first leg, Barcelona took care of business in Lillestrøm by opening the scoring in the seventh minute to doom any hopes of a Kvinner comeback. Barca has advanced to the semis in two of the last three seasons, but the club has never made it to the final. 

Last night, a crowd of 50,000 watched Mexico defeat Paraguay 4-2 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, to make it two wins in two matches for new manager Gerardo “Tata” Martino. 

During a space of 18 first half minutes, El Tri posted three on the South American side to effectively put the game to bed. LA Galaxy midfielder Jonathan dos Santos scored his first international goal in his 40th appearance, Gustavo Gomez put one into his own net and then Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez slotted home the third with only 24 minutes on the clock.

Manchester City just released a mashup kit of some of the club’s favorite shirts from the past six years. In short, it looks awful.

Why six years? City recently signed a deal with Puma to be its kit manufacturer from next season onward, but Nike wanted to put out a limited edition kit in reverence to the six-year partnership after replacing Umbro.

Well, reverence may not be the right word after looking at this kit.

It’s been 14 years since Liverpool defeated AC Milan in one of the most memorable Champions League finals of all time. While the years have gotten on, the men who took the field in that remarkable match can still ball, as evidenced by the Liverpool vs AC Milan Legends highlights from their charity match at Anfield on Saturday.

The bidding war for center back Milan Škriniar has officially gone berserk. 

While teams have been bidding on the defender for a few months now, his agent has come out with some numbers.

“Real Madrid and Barcelona both want (Škriniar); Manchester City offered €55 million but he’s worth €100 million,” Škriniar’s agent Mital Halis said.

As soon as he puts his recent legal troubles behind him, UFC legend Conor McGregor is ready to hop back into the octagon and beat the piss out of someone. In the meantime, he’s been Ireland’s representative at St. Patrick’s Day festivities across the United States, and it also seems like he’s been watching a lot of Manchester United.

Arsenal has been looking for a head of recruitment for quite some time now. After the departure of Sven Mislintat in February, the Gunners need someone with enough experience to bring in the right players for Unai Emery. After a somewhat underwhelming winter transfer window, the North London outfit needs some reinforcements, specifically defensively.

Chelsea’s youngest star, Callum Hudson-Odoi, has officially received the call to join England’s national team. The 18-year-old will be the youngest player on England’s squad for a pair of Euro 2020 qualifiers, joining the stacked attack of Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford and Raheem Sterling.

Hudson-Odoi has quickly become a fan favorite in London, and supporters are hoping he’ll be a big part of a potential Chelsea transformation next year.
