An Oliver Norwood own goal opened the scoring for the Blues, but the Blades came close to equalizing on a number of occasions before Hakim Ziyech’s insurance strike in second half stoppage time put Thomas Tuchel’s side through.

Following a corner kick, it was Ben Chilwell’s hopeful hit back into the area that forced Norwood to turn it beyond Aaron Ramsdale.  

Goalkeeper Bono was Sevilla's unlikely hero as they snatched a 1-1 draw at struggling Real Valladolid in LaLiga on Saturday thanks to his strike deep in stoppage time.

A drone carrying a flag opposing Euro 2020 matches in Bilbao interrupted Athletic Bilbao's match at home to Eibar in LaLiga on Saturday.

Play had to be halted in the 68th minute of the 1-1 draw while referee Valentin Pizarro Gomez picked up the drone and accompanying flag and carried it off the field before restarting the game.

UEFA said on Friday it was investigating incidents in Rangers' Europa League clash with Slavia Prague after the Scottish club's midfielder Glen Kamara complained of being racially abused by a visiting player in Thursday's 2-0 defeat in Glasgow.

Rangers were knocked out of the competition following a 3-1 aggregate loss in the last-16 second leg after finishing with nine men in a heated encounter which saw a melee on the pitch and clashes in the tunnel after the game.

With playing time drying up at Newcastle, American fullback DeAndre Yedlin was allowed to leave on a free transfer to Galatasaray at the end of January. At one time one of the most promising Americans in Europe, the former Sounders speedster had seemingly run out of options in England after stints at Tottenham, Sunderland and Newcastle. 

LONDON — Former England keeper Joe Hart apologised on Friday after an Instagram post from his account went out saying "job done" after Tottenham Hotspur's Europa League exit to Dinamo Zagreb.

Tottenham crashed to a 3-0 defeat in the Croatian capital to lose their last-16 tie 3-2 on aggregate, a result Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris described as "a disgrace."
