Senegal has advanced to its first Africa Cup of Nations final in 19 years after defeating Tunisia 1-0 after extra time in Cairo, Egypt. Both sides had chances to seal victory in regular time with penalties, but the goalkeepers came up big to send the match to an additional 30. From there, it was a comedic own goal that proved the difference.

In Effort To Improve Swedish Football, Zlatan Replaced By Giant Excavator

After watching the Swedish women’s national team finish third at the Women’s World Cup, it appears the men’s national team is going to drastic measures to keep up with the women.

As highlighted by @medverk on Instagram, Sweden is turning to machinery to improve its soccer team, because Zlatan Ibrahimovic just can’t cut it compared to Kosovare Asllani.

SC Braga, Famous For Its Bonkers Stadium, Now Has A Fitting Jersey To Match

Outside of Portugal, SC Braga is most widely known for one thing: the club’s home ground of Estádio Municipal de Braga. It was constructed in 2003 as a venue for UEFA Euro 2004, and it’s incredibly striking because it was carved from the Monte do Castro quarry that overlooks the city of Braga. In fact, the backdrop to one of the goals is the quarry’s rock wall.

Mario Balotelli is enjoying his summer.

On Saturday, the Italian striker posted an Instagram video of a man he apparently paid €2,000 ($2,246 USD) to ride his moped into the ocean.

We’re not sure if Balotelli required this man to do it in his tighty whities or the man just didn’t want to get his clothes wet, but what followed was the exact thing social media was created for.

Ibrahimovic Joins #BottleCapChallenge In Spectacular Fashion

While you were probably busy pounding beers and watching fireworks, Zlatan Ibrahimovic had one of his busiest days of the year.

The Galaxy striker had to carry his team to its 11th win, scoring two goals to secure that win. He then joined the internet in the #BottleCapChallenge trend.

And he did all of this, with his name misspelled on his jersey.

Zlatan ‘Irbahimovic’ Scores Twice In Misspelled Jersey

The Fourth of July is a time for unnecessary parades, celebrating overzealous patriotism with the sounds of war and relaxing with a cold beer in the hot sun followed by binge-watching Season 3 of Stranger Things.

It is not, apparently, a time for spelling names correctly.

The LA Galaxy defeated Toronto FC 2-0 on Thursday night, an appropriate celebration of the United States’ Independence Day as one of the league’s standard bearers defeated the best Canadian club. But the two goals were scored by a Swede whose name was remarkably misspelled on his own jersey.
