Jordan Pefok Has Now Scored More Bundesliga Goals Than Ricardo Pepi After One Game

Jordan Pefok has made his presence known with his new club Union Berlin. After scoring a bicycle kick in a DFB-Pokal match a week ago he opened his Bundesliga scoring account on Saturday during Union Berlin’s 3-1 victory in the Berlin derby vs. Hertha.

Pefok opened the scoring in the 31st minute with a nicely placed header at the near post. Last season’s Swiss Super League golden boot winner shows no signs of slowing his lust for goals.

USMNT Star Brenden Aaronson Scores Game-Winner (Kind Of) For Leeds In First EPL Game

American and Leeds United fans couldn’t have had a better Saturday as USMNT forward Brenden Aaronson grabbed a game-winner, sort of, in a 2-1 victory vs. Wolves. He and Tyler Adams looked great in their first Premier League game.

With the score tied at 1-1 late in the second half and Wolves looking the more threatening side, Leeds and manager Jesse Marsch needed something special.

A dangerous and precise pass from Adams got the move started for Leeds and then a cross from Patrick Bamford found Aaronson for the winner in the 74th minute.

Orbelín Pineda Visita La Acrópolis, Eleva Su Cosmos Y Anota Su Primer Gol Con El AEK

Nothing Sings Quite Like A Left-Footed Volley Off A Cross From The Right Wing

Central Córdoba swept past Rosario Central 3-0 on Monday night in a match that featured a candidate for the Argentine Primera División's goal of the season.

In the 23rd minute, 25-year-old winger Francisco González Metilli opened the scoring off a driven cross-field switch from Renzo López. Metilli let the ball run across his body before unleashing a left-footed volley from 18 yards out that flew across the face of goal and inside the far post.

The visual effect of Metilli's strike is basically just the Bundesliga logo — this is pure technique.

Lionel Messi, Neymar And Sergio Ramos All Score Golazos In French Super Cup

TEL AVIV - Paris St Germain's Neymar scored twice with Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos contributing the other two goals as they romped to a 4-0 victory over Nantes in the French Super Cup (Trophée des Champions) at the Bloomfield Stadium on Sunday.

It was the ninth time in 10 years that the Parisians had won the traditional season-opening clash between the Ligue 1 champions and the French Cup (Coupe de France) winners, which has been regularly played outside of the country over the last decade.

Brenden Aaronson Provides Filthy Hat-Trick Of Assists In Leeds United Friendly

Leeds United completed its final preseason fixture ahead of opening the Premier League campaign against Wolves on Aug. 6, and Jesse Marsch's men delighted a crowd of nearly 30,000 at Elland Road with a 6-2 beatdown of Serie B side Cagliari.

Marsch selected both of his American players in the starting XI with Tyler Adams playing in the midfield pivot role alongside Marc Roca. Brenden Aaronson was in a front three with Rodrigo and Patrick Bamford.

England Finds Dramatic Winner In Extra Time To Claim European Championship

Willed on by a record European Championship final crowd (men's or women's) of 87,192 inside Wembley, a tired and vulnerable England overcame Germany's late equalizer and found a 110th-minute winner in extra time to earn the nation a first major international trophy since the 1966 World Cup.

Football has finally come home thanks to goals from Ella Toone and Chloe Kelly, although it took something of a charmed performance against a German side that'd never lost a Euro final in eight previous appearances.

Gonzalo Higuaín Nets First-Half Hat Trick In Inter Miami's Wild 4-4 Draw With Cincinnati

Chris McVey's stoppage-time tally helped host Inter Miami escape with a 4-4 draw against FC Cincinnati on Saturday.

McVey scored in the seventh minute of added time, firing one just under the crossbar.

LEIPZIG, Germany — German champion Bayern Munich survived a late comeback from RB Leipzig to claim a 5-3 victory in the German Super Cup on Saturday with an impressive first-half attacking display and new signing Sadio Mané scoring on his debut.

Bayern, aiming for an 11th consecutive Bundesliga title this season, were eager to prove they remained a serious attacking threat despite the departure of top striker Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona, and they did not have to wait long.
