La Liga president Javier Tebas is not happy with PSG's handling of Financial Fair Play rules this summer. Could that be because PSG bought one of his league's most marketable stars, a player who was sure to be the face of the league in a few years' time, for an exhorbitant price and one of the giants of his league couldn't hang on to said young star? Transfer season is nearing its grand finale and storylines are all over the place and no one knows what will happen but everyone is excited. Lyon captain Nabil Fekir scored a legitimate contender for Ligue 1’s Goal of the Season on Saturday. The 24-year-old attacker intercepted a Bordeaux pass in his own half, took one touch and laced an effort from the halfway line for the game’s opening goal.
The quick-thinking and perfect execution left Bordeaux goalkeeper Benoit Costil absolutely no chance — Fekir’s effort was struck with an incredible amount of pace and accuracy from almost 60 yards out.
While we don’t know if Neymar will some day win the Ballon d’Or with Paris Saint-Germain, we can say with confidence that he’s dramatically increased his chances of winning the FIFA Puskas Award by joining the Ligue 1 side.
PSG scored six goals against Toulouse on Sunday, and they were all pretty exceptional.
