Who would bet against Jose Mourinho in a situation like Sunday’s? The man’s the ultimate party spoiler. He comes to every massive occasion equipped with his tactical wet blanket and extinguishes the feel good factor around the place.
Mourinho adopted a maniacally fluid 3-1-4-1-1 with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Daley Blind and Michael Carrick starting on the bench. Matteo Darmian’s place on the left side of defense served to make Pedro’s life a living hell, and Ander Herrera was instructed to do this same with Eden Hazard.

Jose Mourinho has spoken at length recently about how difficult it is to be a manager of this next generation of players. They’re rich before their careers even take off, they have everything in their personal lives meticulously managed by others and they’re prey to the insidious advice of those that want a piece of the pie.
The season is ongoing, but everyone is acutely aware of one coaching position that will be free at the end of the current campaign. It’s been almost a month since Barcelona manager, Luis Enrique, announced that he will not renew his contract that expires this season.
Celtic are a club full of technicians, beautiful human beings with excellent character. They have the perfect manager to lead them: Brendan Rodgers. The Northern Irishman is going to be leading them for a good while longer, as the club has announced signing the former Liverpool and Swansea manager to a four-year contract extension.
In his first year as Celtic manager, Rodgers has already won the league with games to spare without losing a match, and gone to the Champions League group stage.
