Paul Scholes Quit His Coaching Gig After 31 Days — Via Text Message

The short-lived Paul Scholes coaching career might be over after 31 days.

Scholes took over for Pete Wild at League Two Oldham Athletic in February, the 44-year-old's first ever full-time coaching gig. About a month later, the former England midfielder quit after recording one win in seven matches.

Now the manner in which Scholes quit has come to light, and it’s not flattering for the Manchester United legend.

Should UEFA Throw Out The Away Goals Rule?

The away goals rule has been on the minds of soccer fans all around the world this season, especially in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League. UEFA is considering getting rid of the tie-breaking system.

Premier League Clubs Highlight Enticing Champions League Quarterfinal Draw

The 2019 Champions League quarterfinal draw set up some intriguing matchups for English Premier League clubs on Friday. Manchester City and Tottenham face off in an all-England clash while Manchester United drew Barcelona and Liverpool was paired with Porto. Ajax faces Juventus in the fourth quarterfinal.

As Premier League Race Enters Final Stretch, Which Club Has The Easier Path?

The 2018-19 English Premier League season is entering its final stretch of the season and for the first time in five years, it may come down to the last game to crown a champion.

How poetic that it is a race between the same two teams.

In 2014, Manchester City sealed the Premier League title with a win over West Ham. Liverpool did its part with a win over Newcastle, but needed City to lose for to hoist the trophy.

Liverpool suffered a huge home loss to Chelsea in the third-to-final game of the season, sending the EPL title in a gift basket to City.

5 Potential Destinations For An Alexis Sanchez Loan Move

Alexis Sanchez, right now, is a disappointment, and that’s not up for debate.

Since signing for Manchester United, his performances have been inconsistent and for the most part poor. While he has contributed to some important goals for United, Sanchez still makes the Red Devils play like they have 10 men on the pitch. United’s recent injury crisis could have been Sanchez’s chance to prove himself, but yet again he has fallen short.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been rumored to want to offload the Chilean in the summer, as he’s racking up quite the wage bill in Manchester.

Arsenal Deals Solskjaer His First Premier League Defeat, And Gunners Return To Top Four

As soon as the announcers started reminiscing about David de Gea’s 14-save match against Arsenal back in 2017, you knew the Spaniard was either going to do the exact same thing today or get beaten from distance by a strange Granit Xhaka strike. You just knew it.

So when Xhaka took aim and sent a whirly dirly beyond De Gea — leaving the goalkeeper wrong-footed and looking somewhat like that gif of Neymar that’s taken over the internet — you could only smile.

Let Us Not Forget The Real Hero Of Manchester United’s Comeback Win Over PSG: Fred

Manchester United completed a stunning comeback to defeat Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 on Wednesday in Paris, turning around a dour first-leg defeat to advance on away goals, 3-3 on aggregate. It was an unforgettable match that came down to the final minute. But there was an forgettable hero: Fred.

PSG shot itself in the foot multiple times but nearly pulled through until VAR was called into play, giving Manchester United a penalty kick in stoppage time.

Neymar Faces Three-Game UEFA Ban For Telling Refs To “Go F*ck Yourselves”

As Manchester United wildly celebrated two ludicrously self-inflicted PSG errors and a contentious, VAR-influenced handball decision to advance to the last eight of Europe (we won’t begrudge Red Devil supporters after the life and times of David Moyes, LVG and Jose Mourinho, but if you thought Liverpool fans were getting annoying with the EPL title at hand, this is a stern reminder that United’s fanbase is built of the exact same stuff), PSG was left to rue another night of historical ineptitude.

Gianluigi Buffon Is Cursed, Much Like An Ancient Mummy

Manchester United has traveled to Paris with a midfield anchored by Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira and Fred along with a substitutes’ bench of assorted children and overturned a 2-0 deficit to eliminate PSG from the Champions League
