Fans De La Liga MX No Perdonan El Fracaso De Pumas Y Los Destruyen A Punta De Memes

MLS Couldn’t Have Asked For A Better Way To Win Its First Concacaf Champions League Title

SEATTLE — Nicolás Lodeiro had one thing on his mind when he scored the third and final goal to clinch the biggest win in MLS history. The Sounders captain ripped off his jersey and ran straight for the heart of what makes Seattle the best soccer town in the country: the supporters.

Fin Al Dominio De La Liga MX: Seattle Sounders Es El Nuevo Campeón De La Concacaf

What's Going On With Giovani Dos Santos?

Giovani dos Santos is one of the most talented Mexican players of this century. I mean, nobody can doubt his skills as a baller and his iconic moments playing for El Tri, but at the same time, we all can agree on how exasperating and inconsistent his club resumé has been, which includes Barcelona, Tottenham, Villarreal, LA Galaxy and Ipswich Town, among others.

Proof of this erratic and unpredictable career is the fact most people probably don't know where he is playing right now or if he is playing at all.

México Is Luring The U.S.-Born Cowell Brothers To Play For El Tri

The rivalry between México and United States is not only in the field. It's becoming more and more common to see both nations battling to convince young, talented dual-citizen soccer players to commit to their programs. Ricardo Pepi, Julián Araujo and Jonathan Gómez are the most high-profile cases last year, but the list grows and grows down the line. One example is the Cowell brothers, Cade and Chance.

Portland Timbers, Thorns Raise $500k For Ukraine With Mixed-Gender Charity Match

Portland has one of the greatest soccer communities in the U.S., and that community came together in beautiful fashion for a unique, mixed-gender charity match on Wednesday night at Providence Park. The “PTFC For Peace” match raised more than $500,000 for UNICEF USA’s relief efforts for children and families affected by Russia’s horrific invasion of Ukraine.

Sounders Steal Draw With 2 Late Penalties In Champions League Final First Leg

The Seattle Sounders were not at their best in the first leg of the Concacaf Champions League final, but the MLS side did just enough to eke out a massive 2-2 draw with Pumas on Wednesday night in Mexico City.

In a match in which neither side played particularly well — a downpour at the start of the match played a part in that — Nico Lodeiro smashed two late penalty kicks past Mexico international keeper Alfredo Talavera to cancel out two goals from Juan Ignacio Dinenno. The result sets up an enthralling second leg in Seattle on Wednesday, May 4.
