Outrage swept the country after a video captured four Minneapolis police officers arresting George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, on Monday. One of the officers held his knee to Floyd’s neck for nine minutes while he screamed “I can’t breathe.” Floyd died shortly after while in police custody.

FC Cincinnati Names Iconic Former Man Utd, Netherlands CB New Head Coach

Former Netherlands and Manchester United defender Jaap Stam has been named head coach of FC Cincinnati, the Major League Soccer club said on Thursday.

Stam replaced fellow Dutchman Ron Jans, who resigned as head coach in February following allegations he used a racial slur in front of players.

"For myself, to get the opportunity to work in America and to work in MLS for a club like FC Cincinnati, it's a dream," Stam said in a news release.

The Most Anticipated Game In North America This Year Was Just Canceled

The best MLS All-Star Game of all time has been canceled amid the coronavirus pandemic, and the disappointment levels are at a staggering all-time high. The festivities — scheduled to take place at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles — included a return of the Skills Challenge on July 28 and match between the best of MLS and Liga MX on July 29.

MLS announced the cancellation of the event on Twitter.

Gov. Cuomo Just Inadvertently Pissed Off A Bunch Of Soccer Fans

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has been widely praised for his handling of the novel coronavirus pandemic in his state, which has been hit harder than anywhere else in the country. Daniel Sturridge Linked With Two MLS Teams

In the midst of completing a four-month ban from football for breaching betting rules, Daniel Sturridge is now being linked with Inter Miami and DC United in MLS.

MLS Reportedly Looking At Orlando To Host Tournament Beginning In June

Major League Soccer hopes to have all 26 teams begin training by June 1 in Florida ahead of an official tournament later in the month, ESPN's Jeff Carlisle reported on Wednesday. The proposal would need to be approved by MLS' Player Association.
