Schalke Fans Troll Bayern With Banner Of The Year Candidate

The Bundesliga and banners have not been best friends as of late. Offensive banners criticizing Hoffenheim investor Dietmar Hopp caused the last 15 minutes of Bayern Munich’s last game to be spent juggling around the ball. Schalke fans took note of the stoppage of play and unveiled their own banner in Tuesday’s DFB-Pokal match.

Remember When Giovani Dos Santos Scored A Hat Trick For Barça And Promptly Peaced?

Despite making 106 appearances for Mexico, winning three Gold Cups and capturing an Olympic gold medal by the age of 30, Giovani dos Santos’ career has been largely denounced as a case of what could’ve been.

At the root of that feeling is his sparkling origin story, one which saw him join Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy at the age of 13 before cementing his status at the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship as perhaps Mexico’s greatest-ever talent.

Why Even The Haters Should Give A Damn About MLS

Major League Soccer. *ducks*

Is it safe to come out?

As Major League Soccer enters its 25th season, it’s hard to remember a time when it didn’t exist. Many of the league’s fans have never known a time when the U.S. did not have a professional soccer league.

When the league launched in 1996, there were plenty of detractors who said soccer will never make it in the U.S. There were plenty more Euro snobs who simply turned their noses up at the mere thought of watching Americans in the baggy, peacock uniforms of the league’s early years.

MLS is mainstream, what else is there to say? Superstar rapper Aminé recently returned from a year-long music hiatus with his new song “Shimmy” and an accompanying music video featuring everything Portland. Of course Providence Park couldn't be left out of the Aminé "Shimmy" video.

Throwback Thursday: Nike's "The Mission" Commercial

Alright, I’m gonna reboot our Throwback Thursday here with a fresh spin on it and see how it goes. If you like it, great, if you hate it, great, it’ll be no more.

Today we’re on a blast from the past with a Nike soccer commercial you guys are hopefully familiar with. It’s one of my top favorites out there, "The Mission" commercial:

Frankfurt Protest Monday Games With One Banner And No Fans

Sometimes simplicity is the best approach, and that is the route that Eintracht chose during a Frankfurt protest on the scheduling of Monday matches this week.

Sure, the supporters could have brought in 100 flares, made several large banners and yelled their lungs out. Instead the Frankfurt faithful vacated a section of stands and placed a singular banner with one clear message: No Mondays.

Things You Didn't Want To Know About The Two New MLS Expansion Teams

Nashville or Miami? With the start of the 2020 Major League Soccer season right around the corner it’s time to take a closer look at the two new MLS expansion teams. This will absolutely be the most in-depth comparison you could possibly receive for the two new teams in Nashville and Miami.

Harry Maguire Removes Michy Batshuayi's Ability To Reproduce

Harry Maguire of Manchester United decided to give Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi the boot . . . literally. During the first half of the Red Devils-Blues showdown, Maguire kicked Batshuayi where it hurts most.

The Biggest Football Player Transformations

Players change their style all the time — I swear Neymar is on his 10th hairstyle by now. To avoid the mundane, people enjoy switching it up and acquire a new look from time-to-time. Eventually someone won’t even resemble their younger self and that’s what nearly all the players on this list of biggest football player transformations have done.
