It has definitely been a journey for Liverpool fans since the end of the 2013-2014 season. To cope with the loss of Luis Suarez, who found his way to Barcelona, Liverpool invested over £115 millions in the new squad, signing 8 new first-team players; a lot of activity and change for Brendan Rodgers’ squad; change that did not end in the hoped for success.
The NFL will be in London to stay.
It was announced yesterday that the National Football League had reached a 10-year agreement to play at least two games per season at the new home of Tottenham Hotspur. Tottenham received approval for the construction of its new stadium back in March, which is adjacent to its current home at White Hart Lane and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2018.
According to a study by former Barcelona Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Esteve Cazada, Raheem Sterling is the most valuable young player in Europe.
The study, conducted by Cazada's company, Soccerex, valued Sterling at 35 million pounds. Liverpool rejected a bid at that number from Manchester City recently.
PSG defender Marquinhos was second on the list, followed by Memphis Depay of Manchester United, Domenico Berardi of Sassuolo and Jose Maria Jimenez of Atletico Madrid.
Jose Mourinho has made numerous statements during his second spell at the bridge about how quiet the stadium is during match day. Chelsea have become one of the most popular teams in Europe and the Premier League, and with only 45,000 seats, tickets are in high demand. Because of this, ticket prices go up and only spectators with deep pockets are able to get their hands on a ticket.
Liverpool squeaked by in sixth place at the end of the Premier League season, which secured them the last qualifying spot in the Europa League. Brendan Rodgers has walked a fine line with Liverpool’s Board of Directors of whether or not he will continue to lead the Red’s in the future. Fighting for his job is his number one priority, and with no more Luis Suarez and a limited Daniel Sturridge, Rodgers has a lot of goals to make up for.
After losing Luis Suarez to Barcelona, Liverpool have been in need of a dangerous striker to score goals for them.
Luckily, that striker may be on his way, and he's American.
Seventeen-year-old Brooks Lennon plays for the Real Salt Lake academy, but he's been training on and off with Liverpool since 2013.
Due to weird FA rules about non-EU players, it's been hard for Liverpool to actually sign Lennon, but supposedly he has an Irish passport on the way, which should clear any remaining hurdles.
Leicester City fired Nigel Pearson, the equal parts manager and thick-jawed Wallace & Gromit character, Tuesday. Pearson had coached the team since 2011.

The buzz surrounding Sergio Ramos’ departure from Real Madrid has all signs pointing to him arriving at Old Trafford with Manchester United. The club’s back three or four, depending on van Gaal’s formation, has been criticized throughout the entire season with Marco Rojo, Chris Smalling, and Phil Jones stumbling to make a solid partnership during the year.
It’s official, people: Petr Cech is coming to Arsenal.
As expected of someone as seasoned and successful as Cech, he left in just about as classy of a way as he possibly could: the rumors surrounding his transfer never became a pain; negotiations never became an ordeal greater than they needed to be. In the last act of this transfer saga that wasn’t, Cech tweeted out a good-bye letter addressed to “everybody involved at Chelsea Football Club.”

The England Under 21 side lost to Italy this week by 3 goals to 1. The loss left the Three Lions at the bottom of Group B with only 3 points from their 3 matches, and eliminated from the U21 European Championships. Typical of England, to say the least.
