Latest ‘Ted Lasso’ Interview Will Make You Believe Dani Rojas Is The Future Of Mexican Soccer

Ted Lasso continues to steal our hearts, even when Jason Sudeikis isn’t around. The recent exploits of Lasso’s AFC Richmond caught the eye of an oblivious reporter, and many people are actually wondering: Is Dani Rojas real?

Rojas, the starlet who captivated as AFC Richmond’s Mexican striker last year, was spotted with his Richmond teammates outside Wembley Stadium after Saturday’s FA Cup final. Asked to do an interview by a local reporter, the entire squad joined in to promote the lad.

Six-Part Docuseries ‘El Presidente’ Examines Ronaldo’s Life As Valladolid Owner

On May 20, streaming platform DAZN will globally launch the six-part documentary series El Presidente, which goes behind the scenes of Ronaldo’s current life as president of LaLiga club Real Valladolid.

Back in September of 2018, the Brazilian legend purchased a 51 percent stake in the club for $35 million. He now owns 82 percent of the 92-year-old club that plays in front of over 27,000 at the Estadio José Zorrilla.

Announcer Makes Racist Comment On Live TV After Di María’s Boneheaded Red Card

Prior to Tuesday, Ángel Di María had played 741 matches for club and country, receiving all of four straight red cards and 80 yellow cards. No one would ever say Di María is a hothead or has a habit of committing bad fouls — even Lionel Messi has more yellow cards in his career. So it makes the racist comment CBS announcer Jim Beglin said after the Di María red card all the more baffling.

NWSL Announcers Really Need To Fucking Stop Misgendering Athletes

OL Reign beat the Chicago Red Stars 3-2 in one of the more entertaining NWSL Challenge Cup games of the year on Tuesday night. Tziarra King had an assist and scored the late winner, further cementing her as my second favorite NWSL player (just behind of my fellow Aggie Shea Groom).

But what stood out more than King’s heroics or Mal Pugh’s first goal since 2019 was the continued misgendering of Reign midfielder Quinn by NWSL announcers. It was made all the worse by the announcers making damn sure they used the correct surnames for recently married players.

New Women’s Champions League Format Promises More Games, Visibility And Money

Back in December of 2019, UEFA revealed its plans for a revamped Women’s Champions League beginning with the 2021-22 season. After a brief nightmare concerning the ramifications of the harebrained European Super League on the women’s game, we can now get back to celebrating the changes that were approved by UEFA’s Executive Committee last week.
