NBC Has Ruined One Of My Favorite Saturday Morning Rituals

For years, NBC has promoted “My PL Mornings,” encouraging Americans to wake up early, turn on the TV and watch the English Premier League. I, like many in this country, obliged, shuffling out of bed while still half awake, stumbling to the couch and turning the TV on to NBCSN to watch the Prem.

Alas, as with many things in 2020, this beloved ritual has come to an end.

The 2020-21 Bundesliga season started on Friday. Starting this season, ESPN has the U.S. TV rights to the league. EPL Viewership Is Giving The NFL A Run For Its Money In The U.S.

American football is one of the most watched sports in the United States, but domestic soccer — the world’s football — usually falls by the wayside.

Americans Will Finally Be Able To Watch FA Women’s Super League On TV This Season — With A Catch

I’ll admit, I quite enjoyed watched the end of this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League thanks to CBS All Access making them easy to view (if not a bit expensive given the monthly fee). I’m sure I wasn’t the only one, as NWSL fans may have kept their All Access subs for the Champions League. And now I’m sure many Americans are wondering how to watch WSL in the U.S. for the 2020-21 season.

NBC made the announcement on Tuesday that Howard will be back in the studio ranks.

The former Manchester United and Everton goalkeeper worked with the network for three years. NBC got the rights to the league in 2013.

CBS, meanwhile, is being given The18’s coveted participation ribbon, seeing as it has yet to release any sort of data on its Champions League final TV ratings.
