Amazon Is Turning Maradona’s Preposterously Nuts Life Into A TV Show

You might love or hate Diego Maradona, but there’s one thing we can always credit him for: You do not get bored with him around. Ever. Therefore, if you didn’t find his arrival to Dorados exciting enough, here he comes again with another wave of entertainment.

Amazon Prime Video revealed the first images of its new TV series project, Maradona, based on Diego’s eternal soccer legacy and pretty stormy private life.

What The Heck Is This UEFA Nations League Thing Anyway?

Have you ever noticed how a lot of internet articles love to ask a ton of questions in a single paragraph? For example a story on the UEFA Nations League will have a single paragraph with things like: What is the UEFA Nations League? What is the UEFA Nations League schedule? How does the UEFA Nations League work? Where can I find a UEFA Nations League guide?

The USWNT Crushed Chile, Not That Anyone Got To See It

The United States is a big country. It spans four time zones just in the contiguous continental landscape. So it can understandably be a tough task to schedule a weekday match that kicks off at a time suitable for the entire country. Unfortunately, the USWNT vs Chile match on Friday night didn’t really kick off at a time suitable for any part of the country — except maybe Hawaii.

Former USMNT CM Stu Holden Absolutely Rocked An Elsa Dress — Until The Disney Police Showed Up

Former USMNT midfielder Stu Holden took a break from pulling double duty with Fox Sports and B/R Live to focus on daddy duty, taking his daughter, Kennady, to Disneyland on Thursday.

The former Houston Dynamo and Bolton Wanderers player decided to do a little cosplaying, dressing up as Elsa from Frozen (I assume; I’m the only one who hasn’t actually seen the movie). Kennady dressed up as well.

Both looked absolutely stunning.

Only one was told to take off the dress.

Cristiano Ronaldo Creates Immediate Impact On Serie A Viewership With Huge Debut Numbers

Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t score and he even put an opponent in the hospital during his debut with Juventus on Saturday. But Ronaldo’s mere presence in Serie A spiked TV ratings in his new country.

Review: Man City’s Amazon Series Is An Illuminating Look At Pep Guardiola And The Day-To-Day Of A Super Club

All or Nothing: Manchester City will be released through Amazon Prime on Friday, Aug. 17, and after watching the first four episodes of the eight-part series, it’s evident that the show qualifies as can’t-miss TV. With a camera crew embedded amongst the Citizens throughout a historic, record-breaking 2017-18 campaign, All or Nothing is so wonderfully and dramatically produced that it’ll appeal to even the most casual of fans, but it’s also littered with revealing moments that’ll fascinate football obsessives around the planet.

Americans Need A Pay Raise To Deal With Absurd Number Of Soccer Subscription Services

The cost of watching soccer in the U.S. keeps rising. ESPN announced it would make ESPN+ the exclusive home of the FA Cup in the U.S. on Wednesday, adding to the growing list of soccer subscription services fans must pay for in order to watch soccer, most of which used to come with a basic cable subscription.

Serie A Match Of The Week Coming To ESPN After Broadcast Rights Secured

For the price of $5 per month or $50 per year, ESPN+ was already a no-brainer for those who watch MLS, the USL, the UEFA Nations League and lower league English football. However, the broadcast package has significantly upped its offerings with this bit of news: ESPN+ will now stream 340 Italian Serie A matches over the course of the season as part of an exclusive, multi-year agreement in the United States.

Everyone Loved ESPN’s Hilariously Dumb Gimmick At The MLS All-Star Game

All-star games should be about having fun, lackadaisical defense and offensive firepower. At least the MLS All-Star Game got one of those right on a record-breaking Wednesday night in Atlanta.

ESPN gave starting MLS All-Star goalkeeper Brad Guzan a mic and earpiece, allowing him to speak with the TV commentators in the middle of the match against Juventus.

It was stupid, gimmicky, dumb — and we absolutely loved it.

We weren’t the only ones who loved it.
