Eye-Popping Champions League Revenue Sees UEFA Finally Give The Right Team The Most Money

Real Madrid won its third straight Champions League in 2018. For once, Los Blancos also topped the charts in Champions League revenue.

UEFA released the 2017-18 Champions League revenue (and Europa League, if anyone cares) on Thursday. For the first time during Real Madrid’s impressive back-to-back-to-back UCL championships, the club also won the most prize money. 

UEFA doled out $1.605 billion in Champions League revenue, an increase over the $1.5 billion it gave out in 2016-17. Real Madrid took home $100.8 million of it.

These Oddball Champions League Animated Shorts Are Actually Kind Of Funny

I’ll admit, when I first saw Bleacher Report put out a Champions League cartoon, I ignored it because I assumed they wouldn’t produce anything funny. Then I accidentally watched some during TNT’s pregame show.

Created by Andy Haynes and directed by Adam and Craig Malamut, who did Game of Zones for Bleacher Report, The Champions is a goofy look at the stars of the Champions League in animated shorts. And, surprisingly, it’s kinda funny.

Porto’s Mexican Duo Silences Moscow With Two Goals And An Assist

Porto climbed to the top of UEFA Champions League Group D with an impressive 3-1 win in Moscow against Lokomotiv on Wednesday, and the Mexican duo of Handsome Hector Herrera and Jesús “Tecatito” Corona played a large part in the win.

The Handsome One scored Porto’s second with Tecatito supplying the assist in the 35th minute.
