Presenting One Of The Sweetest Strikes You’ll Ever Witness

Cork City booked its fourth straight trip to the final of the FAI Cup (the Rebel Army has won the last two) after defeating Bohemians 2-1 today, but a two-goal advantage built in the first half was reduced to just one in the 59th minute after Ian Morris absolutely hammered one.

There’s really no excuse for this shot not making its way to the recently discovered dwarf planet The Goblin, which is thought to be orbiting the hypothetical Planet Nine.

Player Scores Insane Backflip Penalty Cause Why Not

During a Russian National Student League match between Rubin Kazan and Cheboksary, Kazan’s Norik Avdalyan blatantly ripped off a penalty technique that I invented. Inspired by Columbine’s Dylan Prichett-Ettner, I’ve been working on incorporating flipping into my every action on the pitch in a painstaking process that, up until this point, I’ve wholeheartedly trusted in.

PSA: Soccer And Power Lines Do Not Mix

What happens when you smash a clearance straight into some power lines? It’s a thought we’ve all had while playing on a rural pitch that has the conductors running along the sidelines. However, it’s a tantalizing question that few of us have ever acted upon — not even our resident scientist, who got his PhD in soccer science from Johnny Hopkins, knew the answer to this one.

Goalkeeper Strides Forward In The 94th Minute And Makes Magic

A German second division match was the sight of one of football’s great rarities today — the goalkeeper goal. With visitors Heidenheim leading 1-0 in the 94th minute against Union Berlin, Berlin goalkeeper Rafal Gikiewicz strove forward for a free kick just inside Heidenheim’s half.

After being played into the box, a neat little cutback eventually found its way to Gikiewicz, who towered over his marker and planted the equalizing header just inside the far post.

It should come as no surprise, but this was the first goal of Cikiewicz’s senior career.
