Leg 2 of the Champions League Round of 16 resumed today with AS Roma needing a big win in Madrid, while KAA Gent only trailed by 1 on aggregate. For Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez scored in the 64th and 68th minutes, respectively. The match would end up at 2 - 0 with Real Madrid advancing on 4 - 0 aggregate. Andres Schurrle's goal for Wolfsburg was a dagger in the hearts of KAA Gent supporters. Schurrle's 75th minute goal put Wolfsburg up 1 - 0. They would advance on aggregate, 4 - 2. 

Zlatan Ibrahimovic endorses Vitamin Well, a Swedish vitamin drink. 

Because he endorses this drink, Vitamin Well made a commercial in which Zlatan interviews some guy for a job at Vitamin Well. It went poorly for our young job seeker. Just watch.

Have you ever had one of those moments where completely unrelated things just start to intertwine with each other? 

Sort of like when you're moving and you throw a bunch of cables into the same box and maybe once they had a purpose, but that purpose has been long forgotten by the inevitable decay of time and a serious lack of organizational skills.

On Sunday, cities around the United States (Canada, too) filled their stadiums to once again cheer on its top soccer league: MLS. Scarves were raised, chants were sung, and people generally had a better time than a kid at Disney World with unlimited access to chocolate and Mom’s smartphone. And that was just the jazzy surface stuff. There was also jazzy soccer stuff – like goals. Lots of them.

I'm just going to go out and say that adidas has always been a step behind when it comes to their advertising. That's not to say that their ads weren't good, but compared to their rivals over in Beaverton they were just missing something. But I'm here to say that the "Boss Everyone" headline within their "#BeTheDifference" campaign has brought pure gold to the table and I could watch their adverts all day. 

Let’s just get something straight, the goalkeeper you are about to watch had no right to save any of these shots. If the strikers he was facing had put the ball anywhere pretty much anywhere except where they put them, they would have scored. But they didn’t, and now I can calmly say that the world just might be a better place for it. Close range tap in goals are a dime a dozen, but three superhuman saves in a row? That’s something worth writing about. 

Accrington Stanley scored against Wimbledon right at the end of the first half. But that was the problem. It was the end of the half. The half was over. The referee had blown his whistle.

The referee had blown his whistle literally a moment before the ball crossed the line, nullifying the goal. The Accrington Stanley players were understandably pissed.
