Wearing a pair of Nike’s that haven’t even dropped yet ("I'm taking advantage of this win! I'm taking advantage of this popularity that people are sending me stuff that's not even out!"), USWNT star Megan Rapinoe visited Stadium Goods in New York to film a “Sneaker Shopping” segment with Complex. In the show, athletes talk about their own connection with sneaker culture and fashion, as well as a wide-range of interview topics including sports, pop culture, politics and music.

Jill Ellis To Step Down As USWNT Head Coach

Hope Solo Petitions To Join Equal Pay Negotiations Because She Doesn't Think USWNT Can Win Without Her

The USWNT will begin mediation soon with the U.S. Soccer Federation regarding the team’s equal pay lawsuit. Hope Solo has filed a motion to the court that is managing the lawsuit requesting to join in on and aid in the mediation process, according to the Wall Street Journal.

This Is Why The USWNT's Celebration And Attitude Were Justified

Throughout the 2019 Women's World Cup, starting from the first whistle of the opener against Thailand until the last whistle in the final, the USWNT was out in full force with its celebrations. Every one of the 13 goals in the first game were celebrated and every goal after that as well. This drew some scrutiny from pundits and fans around the world.

So, the question is: Was the USWNT doing too much with its celebrations and attitude throughout the World Cup?

Mallory Pugh Dreamt Big And Lived Bigger

At 21 years old, Mallory Pugh is living every little girl's dream. Even her own.

Pugh has had an unorthodox career path in comparison to most female soccer players. In 2017, the Colorado native made a decision to drop out of UCLA, where she lost her NCAA eligibility to pursue her dream of playing professionally in the NWSL for the Washington Spirit. Additionally, she was a crucial entity to the senior USWNT squad when she was called up in 2016 at age 18.

Carli Lloyd Celebrated Her 37th Birthday In Style

On July 16, 1982, a legend was born.

Carli Lloyd grew up in Delran, New Jersey, and attended Delran High School where she was an All-American soccer player not once, but twice. After her stellar high school career she took her talents to Rutgers University, where she became the first athlete to be named All-Big East four years in a row. Following her standout career, in 2013 she was inducted into the Rutgers University Hall of Distinguished Alumni and was also inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2017.

Lindsey Horan: Rapinoe A Role Model For How To Lead Away From Pitch

Before, during and after the USWNT’s run to its fourth Women’s World Cup title this summer, the American players have been outspoken about their social activism.

The undeniable leader of those efforts has been Megan Rapinoe, who has drawn considerable ire (but equal parts praise) from many across the globe for speaking up.

Rapinoe appears to be inspiring the next generation of USWNT leaders, her younger U.S. teammates.
